Rocker Peter Hook and his new band The Light will perform his former group JOY DIVISION's iconic albums Closer and Unknown Pleasures in their entirety at a series of concerts later this month (Sep11).
The tour will begin at New York's Gramercy Theater next week (13Sep11), wind its way through North America and conclude in Mexico City on 1 October (11).
Peter Hook & The Light have already toured mainland Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. performing Joy Division's debut album Unknown Pleasures, which features the classic track Love Will Tear Us Apart.
Meanwhile, bassist/singer Hook will not be part of a New Order reunion in October (11), when two of his Joy Division bandmates will come together at the Ancienne Belgique in Belgium and again in Paris, France at the La Bataclan to raise money for film producer and video director Michael Shamberg, who is currently suffering with a debilitating illness.
