Producers at Uncommon Content have filed legal papers in New York accusing the Happy hitmaker of failing to fufil an obligation to star in an online project called Artst Tlk (sic) because of issues with his contract on U.S. reality TV show The Voice.

In the suit, they claim they were already in negotiations to take the series to cable TV when Williams backed out, according to the New York Post.

The new lawsuit comes just months after Williams and Robin Thicke lost a key legal battle over their hit track Blurred Lines when a judge ruled they had copied portions of a Marvin Gaye track and ordered them to pay $7 million (£4.6 million) to his family.
