Piers Morgan Broke His Ribs But Followers Aren't Sympathetic

Piers Morgan

When you happen to be one of the most contentious television personalities in the world, you tend to invoke spite at the times you wouldn't expect. Hence, when Piers Morgan revealed that he broke his ribs, he didn't exactly get a barrage of sympathy on social media.

Piers Morgan Slammed For Comments About Ariana Grande

Piers Morgan Ariana Grande

Piers Morgan’s mission to become the next Katie Hopkins is progressing smoothly, as the ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter caused further outrage on social media by suggesting that Ariana Grande should have remained in the U.K. following the terror attack at her gig in Manchester.

The controversial journalist and television presenter made the comments on Thursday night (May 25th), re-tweeting a comment from Katy Perry who was praising the Queen of England for visiting injured children at a Manchester hospital a few days after the atrocity.

“Agreed. Might have been nice if Ariana Grande had stayed to do the same,” he said, suggesting that Grande’s decision to fly back to the States so soon after the incident was wrong.

Alan Sugar Pledges £5,000 To Silence Piers Morgan On Twitter For Comic Relief

Piers Morgan

In an ingenious scheme for charity that could probably solve the national debt crisis if applied to Britain’s finances, Piers Morgan has pledged to remain silent on social media for one whole day in order to raise money for Comic Relief.

The controversial ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter and former newspaper editor, 51, will not post anything on Twitter or any other social media platform for 24 hours on Friday (March 24th) if donations reach £50,000 – and another rival celebrity was among the first to dig deep and donate toward the cause!

Lord Sugar, the star of ‘The Apprentice’, pledged £5,000 to the ‘Shut Piers Up’ campaign, describing it as the “bargain of the century” in a video message he posted to Twitter.

Piers Morgan Booed As He Presents Trophy At National Television Awards

Piers Morgan Susanna Reid

The increasingly controversial Piers Morgan was booed as he and his ‘Good Morning Britain’ colleague Susanna Reid appeared at the National Television Awards to present a prize last night – although Susanna joked that she had “gagged” him as he appeared with a black band across his mouth.

“It's been a controversial week on ‘Good Morning Britain’. We've had tears, we've had tantrums – we've even had a walkout,” Reid told the audience after she took to the stage with Morgan. “So I've done what people have been urging me to do for some time… I've finally gagged Piers Morgan. Just enjoying this moment.”

Piers Morgan And Susanna Reid Criticised For Asking Politician Owen Smith About Viagra

Piers Morgan Susanna Reid

‘Good Morning Britain’ presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid have been widely condemned for “crucifying” the prospective Labour Party leadership candidate Owen Smith about bullying claims and Viagra use during a hugely awkward interview.

The politician, 46, is standing against Jeremy Corbyn in a bid to oust him as leader in the contest triggered earlier this month. However, though Smith was a guest on the show on Wednesday (July 20th) and was there to talk about his vision for Labour’s future under his leadership, Morgan and Reid seemed keener on grilling him about former claims of bullying and smutty questions about Viagra.

Emily Ratajkowski Piers Morgan

Emily Ratajkowski and Piers Morgan have exchanged blows on Twitter once again, after the British journalist criticised her for doing a nude photoshoot for the latest edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

Ratajkowski appears totally naked astride a white horse on the front cover of August’s edition of the magazine, responded to a seemingly flippant remark that Morgan made shortly after the Bazaar image was published on Thursday (July 7th).

“Do you want me to buy you some clothes? You look freezing,” he wrote. “I don't need clothes as much as you need press,” the model replied almost instantly. Ha-burn!

Never short of an opinion or two at any given moment, British presenter Piers Morgan has lamented the joint topless selfie taken by Kim Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski and declared that feminism is dead.

Morgan took to Twitter on Wednesday (March 30th) after the model and actress posted a nude photo of themselves flipping off the camera without their shirts on. “RIP feminism” wrote the presenter, sharing a black-and-white portrait of Suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst contrasted with the selfie.

Piers Morgan And Susan Sarandon In Twitter Battle - About Her Boobs

Susan Sarandon Piers Morgan

Susan Sarandon and Piers Morgan got into a hilariously unlikely Twitter battle – about her boobs. With amused onlookers using the hashtag #CleavageGate, the feud started when the British presenter wrote disapprovingly about Sarandon’s choice of dress for the SAG Awards.

“Would Susan Sarandon wear this to a funeral? No. It was thus horribly inappropriate for an In Memoriam tribute,” Morgan had tweeted on Wednesday (February 3rd) about Sarandon’s outfit at the weekend, which featured a white blazer, black bra and no blouse.

John Lydon Sex Pistols Piers Morgan

John Lydon has said that his ban from BBC radio for speaking out against Jimmy Savile at the start of his career still rankles with him nearly forty years later.

Lydon, the former lead singer of punk icons the Sex Pistols and now the post-punk veterans Public Image Ltd., gave an interview back in 1978 in which he said the disgraced former presenter Savile was “into all sorts of seediness. We all know about it but we’re not allowed to talk about it. I know some rumours.”

Speaking to Piers Morgan for his 'Life Stories' show, the 59 year old said: “I’m very, very bitter that the likes of Savile and the rest of them were allowed to continue. I did my bit, I said what I had to. But they didn’t air that.”

Madonna has offered her opinion on the Dolce And Gabbana controversy and firmly supports Elton John's views. The controversy stems from a comment made by designer Domenico Dolce in an interview in an Italian magazine, Panorama. In the interview, Dolce described children born by IVF as "synthetic babies". The March issue of the magazine was released on 12th March but the backlash against the duo continues with many celebrities and LGBT groups calling for a boycott of the label and protesters picketing D&G stores.

Piers Morgan Criticises US Gun Laws On Last CNN Show

Piers Morgan Meryl Streep Madonna Alec Baldwin Shania Twain Ellen Degeneres

Piers Morgan ended his three year run on his CNN talk show Piers Morgan Live on Friday (28th March) with a plea to the US government to change "the absurd gun laws".Morgan's show was cancelled following low ratings and possibly his involvement in the phone hacking scandal, nevertheless he left the show on a somewhat controversial note.

Morgan, ever controversial, used his final show as an opportunity to comment on the social and political implications of gun laws in the US. He referenced recent tragedies in which guns were used to kill large numbers of people which prompted criticism of gun laws in the US and worldwide.

Morgan has spent a number of years in the states over the past decade and described gun violence, such as that displayed in the Connecticut Sandy Hook massacre and the Colorado Aurora Cinema, as "a disease that infects every aspect of American life". Referencing these attacks Morgan said, as The Independent reports: "I assumed that after 70 people were shot in a movie theatre and then just a few months later 20 first-graders were murdered with an assault rifle in an elementary school, that the absurd gun laws in this country would change, but nothing has happened".

Where Did It All Go Wrong For Piers Morgan In America?

Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan is no stranger to bad press. Possibly, this is because he has always received his fair share of it (particularly in recent months), although throughout his seemingly eternal career he has also doled out much of it to others. Some, therefore, may cite karma as a reason behind the recent news than his CNN prime time talk show has been cancelled.

Yet Morgan has always maintained an unwavering confidence, despite having garnered a less than favourable reputation among his critics and viewers.  His reputation with his American audience deteriorated so dramatically that a petition was started to deport him from the country. The UK countered with their own petition, urging the US to reconsider as they didn’t want him either.
