The controversial presenter tweeted his disdain for J.K Rowling's series on its 20th anniversary
Controversial news anchor Piers Morgan has reignited his fierce feud with author J.K Rowling - but this time he has offended millions of people around the world at the same time. Following Rowling’s internationally famous Harry Potter series' 20th birthday yesterday (26 June) Piers was lacking in his congratulations.
Piers Morgan did not make many friends after sharing his thoughts on Harry Potter
Upon the anniversary, Rowling tweeted to her legion of fans and said: "20 years ago today a world that I had lived in alone was suddenly open to others. It's been wonderful. Thank you. #HarryPotter20."
After Spencer Morgan sided with Rowling in the hilarious Twitter spat between her and his dad, Piers semi-seriously (hopefully) said he was cutting him out of his will.
While his father and the famous author were arguing on Twitter about whether Morgan has actually read any 'Harry Potter' books – he claimed last week never to have written a word, despite having written an entire column about it several years ago – Spencer Morgan shared a handful of photos seeming to signify that Piers is a bigger fan than he’s letting on.

Morgan and Rowling spent the weekend exchanging blows on Twitter, while the rest of us grabbed some popcorn,
What followed was a back and forth Twitter war between the two, during which Rowling displayed her usual 140 characters brilliance and Morgan’s son made an awkward revalation.
He later launches a scathing attack on Ewan McGregor.
Piers Morgan has incurred the ridicule of the masses after a recent comment on Twitter where he branded Women's March demonstrators as 'rabid feminists'. He has so far received criticism from a number of his peers, including 'Good Morning Britain' co-host Susanna Reid.
Piers Morgan gets roasted on Twitter after 'Women's March' attack
Perhaps he was intending to incite angry messages from women everywhere, but instead he got the disapproval of his colleague, the derision of a popular British politician and a total roasting from an American comedian. Plus, he has just lost himself an interview with the star of 'T2 Trainspotting' Ewan McGregor.
Good on you, Ewan!
The actor disagreed with comments Morgan had made about Saturday's Women's Marches across the globe and decided not to go ahead with his appearance on the show minutes before he was due to be interviewed.

Morgan confronted Sarah Louise Bryan, the mother who billed another parent for £325 over her child's boots, on 'Good Morning Britain'.
Outspoken British presenter Piers Morgan has remained defiant after making a guest cry live in the studio during today’s edition of ‘Good Morning Britain’.
28 year old mother Sarah Louise Bryan made national news earlier this week when it was revealed she billed another parent for £325 after her three year old daughter Isabella came home from a playdate with ink staining her designer boots. However, it was then revealed that Bryan, a fashion designer by profession, had bought roughly 60 pairs of shoes for her daughter.
Debating all this on Tuesday’s episode of ‘Good Morning Britain’ on ITV, she and presenter Morgan exchanged words in a situation that quickly got out of hand.
The singer offered the presenter an interview to counteract his audacious claims
Lady GaGa recently revealed she suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after being raped at the age of 19 - but this rare insight into her life has not been met by understanding from everyone - particularly opinionated presenter, Piers Morgan.
Lady Gaga has refused to take Piers Morgan's criticisms of her lying down
Morgan, who fronts ITV’s Good Morning Britain, called the singer’s admission "vainglorious nonsense" and claimed Gaga’s revelation was only to help "promote" her career.

Piers Morgan had led the criticisms over 11 year old Cruz's Christmas single last week, accusing David and Victoria of exploiting their family.
David Beckham has hit back at critics who have been accusing him and his wife Victoria of ‘pimping out’ their 11 year old son Cruz by allowing him to launch a singing career, denying that they were exploiting him.
The 41 year old English soccer icon appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ on Monday (December 12th), and said the controversy around his son’s singing career was totally overblown and that the single was only a one-off, done because Cruz “wanted to give back” to charity.

It’s not the first time Sharon has had a slip-up on the live shows.
Sharon Osbourne has denied being drunk on Sunday night’s ‘X Factor’ after she forgot the name of her act Saara Aalto.
As Alto was about to sing to keep her place in the competition, Osbourne blanked on the Finnish singer’s name, having to ask fellow judge Louis Walsh.

The presenter tore one of the new £5 notes using his teeth, shocking co-host Susanna Reid live on the morning show.
Piers Morgan is used to landing himself in hot water with his antics, but did he finally go a bit too far on today’s ‘Good Morning Britain’? During a segment testing the durability of the Bank of England’s new £5 notes the presenter bit into one live on air managing to tear it, in a potentially illegal act.
Morgan wrote a response to Aniston’s op-ed about the media’s constant speculation that she is pregnant, criticising the actress for being airbrushed on magazine covers .
Chrissy Teigen engaged in a war of tweets with Piers Morgan on Wednesday (July 13) over his criticisms of Jennifer Aniston’s op-ed piece about body shaming and her constant pregnancy rumours. The model and presenter called the former CNN host a ‘piece of shit asshole’, after reading the column he had penned for Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
Chrissy Teigen has called out Piers Morgan on twitter.
Teigen tweeted: “@piersmorgan saw your piece on Jennifer Aniston. Why do you ALWAYS take the road of being the piece of shit asshole? Particularly with women and people of color. tell me it's just for clicks?? Please tell me you aren't TRULY this vile.”
Sheen was interviewed in depth by Piers Morgan at a London theatre this weekend.
Charlie Sheen is adamant that he has not infected any of his sexual partners with HIV since his diagnosis.
The controversial actor, 50, was asked about his sexual history in a frank interview with British journalist and commentator Piers Morgan in a one-off show, ‘An Evening with Charlie Sheen’, at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Sunday evening (June 19th).
Sheen went public with his HIV diagnosis in November 2015, but confirmed that he had been diagnosed a number of years before that. Morgan directly asked him whether he had had unprotected sex since discovering his HIV positive status, which he denied.

Yesterday Kim Kardashian shared a throwback naked selfie and attempted to break the internet once again. But not everyone was so happy to see another naked Kim photo and the 35-year old found herself being criticised by Bette Midler, Chloe Grace Moretz and Piers Morgan. But this time, Kim fought back.
Kim Kardashian has hit out at her critics on twitter
Hours after posting the censored naked selfie, which showed her posing nude in front of a mirror last year, Kim tweeted, ‘Reading my comments like….LOL’. The reality star then added: ’Sorry I'm late to the party guys I was busy cashing my 80 million video game check & transferring 53 million into our joint account.’
The former talk show host does have political experience, he was one the Mayor of Cincinnati.
Jerry Springer is heading back to UK television, with a new presenting gig on ITV morning show ‘Good Morning Britain’. The former talk show host will join Piers Morgan and Susannah Reid on the ‘GMB’ sofa as part of their US election coverage.
Jerry Springer is joining the ‘Good Morning Britain’ team.
Springer will report on the run -up to the election beginning in February and then present live coverage from Washington in November. Although he’s most famous for his outrageous 90’s talk show ‘The Jerry Springer Show’, the 71-year-old is also the former Democrat Mayor of Cincinnati, having held the office from 1977 to 1978.
Lorraine accidentally propositioned her co-host on 'Good Morning Britain' on Monday after he gave her a pillow with his face printed on it.
Serious amounts of awkward on British daytime TV today as ‘Good Morning Britain’ host Lorraine Kelly shocked viewers with a suggestive comment she made to co-presenter Piers Morgan when he presented her with a birthday present.
The amusing exchange took place on the ITV weekday morning show on Monday (November 30th) when Morgan gave his colleague a present for her 56th birthday live on air. It was a heart-shaped pillow emblazoned with his face, which temporarily caused Lorraine to forget she was live on air.
Piers Morgan laughed off the embarrassing exchange as he left the ITV studios on Monday
The 21 year old 'X Factor' hopeful was voted off the show on Sunday night, and has been doing a day of media appearances on Monday.
Upon his exit from ‘The X Factor’ – for good, this time – eliminated contestant Mason Noise has said that he wasn’t taking part in the show to win and that he’s “relieved” to have left.
Having already been granted a reprieve five weeks ago by being brought back by judge Nick Grimshaw, after fellow hopeful Tom Bleasby unexpectedly dropped out of the show voluntarily, the controversial 21 year old was finally voted off the show having received the least amount of support from the public on Sunday (November 22nd).

Piers Morgan has abruptly announced his departure from CNN, but is he sending out a message to potential suitors?
Piers Morgan, whose brash interviewing style looked like it may even work stateside for a short period, has left CNN, announcing his departure on Twitter. The 49-year-old never reached the venerable heights of his processor 'Larry King Live' and although proving hugely entertaining at times, he is now no longer an employee of the network.

Morgan's primetime show was cancelled six months ago but, according to the Guardian, he apparently remained on the payroll as negotiations continued over a new role at the network. However, when offered the chance by CNN boss Jeff Zucker to host 40 interview specials over a two-year period, Morgan declined.

A report stating Piers Morgan was rude to his fellow colleagues and "didn't show any respect to anyone working under him," has got the Brit very angry as he brands the article "garbage."
The television network hasn't garnered the rating figures it would have hoped, and therefore decided to pull the plug, with the last episode due to air sometime next month.
But instead of getting a pat on the back for his three years of service, Piers has labelled as rude by his co-wokers, who are apparently happy to see the back of him.

When Jennifer Lawrence went up to collect her award for Best Actress at last Sunday's (Jan 27) Screen Actors Guild Awards she gave us a glimpse at what could have been one of Hollywood's most famous faux-pas.
Luckily for Jennifer, when she got to the stage to accept her reward she did manage to keep things together and last night, on Piers Morgan Tonight, Jennifer went through just what happened for the first time. Although it initially looked as though her dress split, Jen told Piers that in fact the bottom tier for her Christian Dior gown began to fall away, or as she put it, "my pants fell down."
She watched the whole debacle and gave a step by step detail of her near miss in the wardrobe department, saying "Oh, god. Oh, My pants fell off." She went on, and recalled how the near miss began as she made her way to the stage, adding, "Somebody trips me on the way, I remember that and yeah—there it starts to fall off. And then I'm keeping it together, keeping it together, then my pants fall off again!"
Gun law debates have barely receded at all since the horrific and tragic shooting at Sandy Hook in Newton last December. Piers Morgan spearheaded some of the debate via while hosting his show on CNN. He also said that, as a father of young children, he would leave the country if tighter gun control wasn't instigated. His anti-gun stance lead to outrage and a petition to have him deported. The White House has refused the petition.
"This is very bad news for the Americans and very good news for the Brits," Morgan joked, reports the Huffington Post. Speaking on CBS's This Morning he further advocated tighter gun control, saying: "After Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head... I couldn't believe the reaction was a week of horror and mourning... and then everyone moved on and nothing changed... And since then, massacre after massacre - something has to give and I think the tipping point was Sandy Hook."
This week he also met with gun enthusiast, Alex Jones, which led to a very heated conversation. Jones ended up shouting at Morgan. "Let me say, 1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms" he shouted, reports the Mail. He blamed the mass amount of US murders on 'suicide pills'. Comparing the US to the UK, he said: "I already said earlier that England had lower gun crime rate because you took all the guns. But you have hoards of people burning down cities and beating old women's brains out out everyday."

The petition to deport Piers Morgan following his seemingly inexplicable investment in the gun control debate in America has attained a new dimension: the White house have issued an official response while Morgan has reiterated his stance, vowing to continue the fight for the ban of firearms.
After the petition quickly gleaned the requisite 25,000 scribbles for an official response, numbers have swelled to over 100,000 in favour of deporting Morgan from U.S shores. The White House press secretary, Jay Carney, said:
"Let's not let arguments over the constitution's second amendment violate the spirit of its first. President Obama believes that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms. However, the Constitution not only guarantees an individual right to bear arms, but also enshrines the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press - fundamental principles that are essential to our democracy."
Piers Morgan was on the receiving end of an impassioned rant from the pro-gun radio host Alex Jones, on his CNN show. Morgan managed to keep his cool whilst he spoke to the enraged gun-defender about his role in creating a petition to deport Piers Morgan, after he expressed his views on gun control in the USA, in the wake of the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre recently.
The British media personality interviewed Jones, with the words ‘Guns In America’ emblazoned behind himself and his interviewee. A clip of the interview shows Jones shouting at Morgan, saying “Hitler took the guns! Stalin took the guns! Mao took the guns! Fidel Castro took the guns! Hugo Chavez took the guns! I'm here to tell you — 1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms!"
Jones also argued that he believes the recent rape and murder of a girl in India, which made international headlines, could have been prevented if she had had access to a gun. “More guns means less crime,” he argues, as Piers attempts to get a word in edgeways. When questioned on how many gun murders there were in Britain last year (to compare to US statistics), Jones’ rant escalated, as waved a rolled-up newspaper at Morgan calling him “a hatchet man of the New World Order.”
Piers Morgan threatens to deport self in an article published by the Daily Mail, regarding America’s gun laws. The CNN host Piers Morgan wrote the lengthy article after seeing America’s collective response to the recent Newtown gun massacre, which resulted in 26 people being killed at an elementary school – the majority of whom were children.
Having called Larry Pratt, the man behind the Gun Owners of America lobbying group “an unbelievably stupid man,” Morgan quickly found the “full wrath of the gun lobby” on his “British head.” A petition has been created, on an official White House website, demanding that Morgan be deported “for attacking the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution” (which protects an American’s right to bear arms). So far, 90,000 people have signed the petition, though as Morgan points out, in expressing his opinion, he was merely demonstrating his rights, as a legal US resident, to speak freely, under the 1st Amendment.
Morgan concluded his missive with this statement: “I can spare those Americans who want me deported a lot of effort by saying this: If you don’t change your gun laws to at least try to stop this relentless tidal wave of murderous carnage, then you don’t have to worry about deporting me. Although I love the country as a second home and one that has treated me incredibly well, I would, as a concerned parent first – and latterly, of a one-year-old daughter who may attend an American elementary school like Sandy Hook in three years’ time – seriously consider deporting myself.”
The former editor of tabloids The Sun, Daily Mirror and the now defunct News of the World has repeatedly denied having any knowledge that phone hacking went on since it emerged that the Rupert Murdoch owned newspapers had journalists using illegal techniques to listen to voicemails on celebrities' phones and even those of victims of crime. In fact, at the Leveson inquiry, he swore under oath several times that he 'had no reason or knowledge to believe it was going on'. In spite of this, footage has emerged of the controversial TV personality discussing the practise with the then 17-year-old popstar Charlotte Church in 2003. 'When [mobile phones] first came out journalists found out that if a celebrity hadn't changed their pin code. You can access their voicemails by typing in a number', he said. 'Now, are you really telling me that journalists aren't going to do that? If they know that they can ring up Charlotte Church's mobile phone, listen to all her messages?'
The discussion took place in an interview after she was invited to address the Oxford Union during which she campaigned for a privacy law for celebrities under 18 years of age. It will soon be broadcast on the Channel 4 documentary 'Taking on the Tabloids' which will feature Hugh Grant who has been in a string of legal battles with the tabloids following the phone hacking scandal.
"Whatcha gonna do, brother, whatcha gonna do when a sex tape scandal runs wild on you?" Quickly call up some of the biggest mouthpieces in US entertainment culture and seek to explain yourself as soon as possible is what appears to be the answer for Hulk Hogan. Once one of the most popular stars in America back in the 80s thanks to his run as champion with the scripted wrestling company the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment), Hogan has been caught with a low blow in recent weeks after the Hulk Hogan tape, featuring him and a mystery woman emerged online.

Kelsey Grammer stormed out of Piers Morgan’s chat show, recently, before their chat had even begun. According to E! Online, Piers is claiming that Kelsey caught wind of the fact that they had shown a clip of Kelsey’s ex wife, Camille Grammer, as the show started, so he simply got up and walked out. Piers first made the problem known when he tweeted a message to say “Kelsey Grammer was supposed to be on my show now but ran out of the building. Strange.” At this point, he appears not to understand Grammer’s motives for leaving.
A later tweet clears the situation up a little saying “So, Kelsey Grammer saw a photo of his ex wife Camille in the open to our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before.” Later on, Piers said that he’d had a chat with Kelsey in the green room and Kelsey had been looking forward to the interview. Later, Piers then accused Kelsey of having acted unprofessionally, saying “I like Kelsey Grammer personally, but this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn't even going to mention his ex-wife!” Which begs the question, of course… why show a picture of her before the interview, then, Piers?
Recently, pictures of Camille were published in the media, with the 44 year old looking stunning in a bikini, with the kind of beach body that you’d expect from someone half her age. Perhaps the renewed attention on their former relationship and publicly tricky divorce has left Kelsey feeling a bit more sensitive about the subject than normal?
Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has spoken publicly about the sacking of her former colleague Kelly Brook from the ITV1 show.
The model and actress was cut from the talent show judging panel after only six days in the job last month.
At the time head judge Simon Cowell said it had become clear that the talent show's format did not "support another judge".
And Holden has said Cowell's statement last month was "absolutely right".
"It was one of those unfortunate things where nobody could foresee that it was game over when there were four judges," she told Radio 1's Newsbeat programme.
"Because of the buzzer situation, four judges on our show doesn't work," she continued. "If we didn't have the buzzers then it would definitely work like it does on American Idol and on X Factor.
"It was a really difficult thing to try and work out, when two people pressed the buzzer and two people didn't, then the person on stage didn't know whether to wait for all the buzzers to go.
"Ant and Dec were confused, we were all confused. In the end, the producers and everybody felt that it was jeopardising the show."
Former Wild at Heart actress Holden added: "It was nothing to do with Kelly Brook. She was thrown completely in at the deep end."
The third series of Britain's Got Talent begins in the spring, with a new batch of aspiring performers aiming to follow in the footsteps of previous champions Paul Potts and George Sampson.
Holden explained she and her fellow judges Cowell and Piers Morgan completed filming on the audition process of the show last Saturday.
"We've picked the last 40 acts for the live shows in May. Let's say we should rename the show Britain's Got Self Belief!" she joked.
As well as claiming a £100,000 prize, the winner gets a chance to perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
