The adopted son of Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has been accused of attacking a car carrying British royal CHARLES, PRINCE OF WALES during London's student riots in December (10).
Charlie Gilmour was charged with violent disorder and theft of a mannequin leg last month (Jan11) after he was caught on camera clambering all over one of the U.K.'s most important memorials during a violent student protest against a rise in university tuition fees. The theft charge has since been withdrawn.
Appearing at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Friday (11Feb11), the 21 year old was also accused of being a part of the 100-strong mob that targeted Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as a three-car convoy made its way to a theatre during the protests.
It has since emerged Gilmour is suspected of throwing a rubbish bin at one of the cars, and accused of sitting on a vehicle carrying royal protection police officers, according to reports.
He has been freed on conditional bail and the case was adjourned until 25 March (11).
