Rapper Pitbull and Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela are lending their support to actress Rosario Dawson's efforts to encourage America's Latin community to be politically active.
The Sin City beauty launched Voto Latino in 2004, urging Hispanics to stand up and make their votes count in the U.S. presidential elections, and she's been campaigning once again ahead of November's (12) race for the White House.
She's now recruited the help of 35 musicians, including Miguel, Kat Deluna and Los Tigres, to offer free music downloads to those who sign up for voter registration information and political updates.
A statement released by Dawson reads: "Our interest is to keep bringing people into the political mix. Everyone should have an understanding of the system whether or not they're eligible to vote and we believe that offering free music through social media platforms will help continue to motivate and engage those that may not already be a part of the conversation."
