Portishead star Geoff Barrow and composer Ben Salisbury teamed up to score writer Alex Garland's directorial debut Ex Machina.

The two musicians previously worked together on the soundtrack for 2012 movie Dredd, which was adapted for the big screen by Garland, the writer of 28 Days Later and The Beach.

Barrow says, "It's been great for Ben and I to be working with Alex again, and hopefully we have written the kind of score an intense sci-fi thriller like this needs."

Barrow and Salisbury met over a decade ago when they both joined a Bristol football team "for old men".
