Step On It Driver! Andy Murray Races Through London To Make OBE Award

Andy Murray Prince William

The very last thing you want – apart from a death in the family or an alien abduction – on the day of your OBE award, is a random drugs test. Luckily for Andy Murray instead of steroids and performance enhancing drugs, he feeds on shortbread and the pride of a nation he’s not from. Oh, and he made it on time.

"They turned up at my door at 8.20am and I had a taxi booked for half past eight. I was a bit worried I was going to be late but the taxi did a great job in getting us here,” explained Andy, who isn’t considering giving his taxi driver his OBE, but probably should.

Naomi Watts Worried About Wills' & Harry's Reaction To Diana Portrayal In Biopic [Trailer]

Naomi Watts Prince William Prince Harry

Naomi Watts has discussed her feelings towards her latest and largest film role to date, the portrayal of the iconic 'people's princess' in the film Diana, out today in the UK (20 September).

Naomi Watts
Naomi Watts' Role As Diana Has Been Disparaged By Some.

Watts' relationship with the press in the run-up to the film's release has so far been blighted by a confusing walk-out of an interview with Radio 5 Live's Simon Mayo for the station's film show. Mayo hadn't expressed any particular opinion towards the film; neither had he asked a particularly challenging question, which is why Watts' walk-out was so bemusing for the radio hosts and their listener.

Prince William Kate Middleton Prince Harry

Prince William and Catherine Middleton shared the first photos of baby Prince George; their four-week-old son and the one-day King of the United Kingdom and head of the Commonwealth of Nations. The proud father wasn't justs sharing pictures of his newborn child either, as the second in line for the throne spoke at length about his love and admiration for the little one, even if he is giving them a few sleepless nights.

The royal couple first posed with their newborn baby days after his birth.

Wills was speaking with CNN, without Kate, in his first official interview since the birth of their son on July 22, during which he discussed his newfound joy towards being a father, even though his new duties include a lack of sleep now. He referred to his son as "a bit of a rascal" during the interview with CNN's Max Foster, adding that he has already caused himself and Catherine their fair share of sleepless nights. He told Foster that George is "growing quite quickly actually," adding, "he's a little fighter - he wriggles around quite a lot and he doesn't want to go to sleep that much."

Prince William's Push Present To Kate Middleton - A Pink Diamond Sounds Like An Elegant, Modern Choice

Prince William Kate Middleton

Prince William’s push present to Kate Middleton might be a pink diamond ring, according to the Daily Express. For those not entirely “in the know” on the royals and celebrity culture in general, a push present is something a brand new dad gives his ladylove as a token of appreciation for, well, pushing. Think Kanye West giving Kim Kardashian a tiger diamond, except the Duke of Edinburgh’s rumoured choice of present sounds quite a bit more regal. Whether or not the rumors about the pink diamond turn out to be true, one thing is clear: the prince has invested a lot of thought and effort into the special present.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, St Mary's Hospital
The birth of Prince Edward was one of the most anticipated events of the year.

“William has been giving this a lot of thought for a long time,” confided a member of his inner circle. “He’s got lots of ideas from studying history of art at university and decided on a pink diamond as a centrepiece because it is pretty and feminine. It will be a thank you present to Kate.”

News Channels Go Head To Head In Royal Birth Coverage

Prince William Kate Middleton

The coverage of the royal birth has been extensive, with multiple channels clawing at ratings. The winner was somewhat unexpected though – ITV reeled over 7 million people into their baby broadcast, more than twice the numbers, tuning in to the BBC – 3.3 million, according to the Guardian. The early morning ITV news, which was extended from 30 to 60 minutes, to catch the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge leaving St. Mary’s hospital, averaged 5.4 million viewers and a 28.6% audience share – a staggering number for the time slot.

Footage of the royal couple continues to flood most news channels.

The BBC were a bit less flexible with scheduling, resulting in a half hour royal baby news block inserted right into The One Show: Best of Britain (with an average of 2.8% million viewers.) Umfortunately, the switch did nothing to improve ratings and the broadcast averaged just 3.3 million or 16.7% over the following 15 minutes.

Welcome, Prince George - The Youngest Royal Finally Has A Name

Prince William Kate Middleton Queen Elizabeth II

Baby names are usually a big decision, but few infants can boast that the eyes of a nation (much less the world) were on them, while it was made. The wait is now over and the royal family has proudly announced that baby will henceforth be called George Alexander Louis or, if you want that shortened for easier memory – Prince George of Cambridge.

Kate Middleton, Lindo Wing, St Mary's Hospital
In the early days after the birth, the news just keep on coming.

People all over the country are also ecstatic, although for less noble reasons – the name George was a favorite with betting companies Coral and William Hill among others. Although, with odds of 8/1, it doesn’t look like the gamblers will be making any fortunes from the event. The names – all three of them, in fact, are all keeping with royal family tradition. George is particularly popular – the prince has five historical namesakes, including the Queen’s own father, George VI. Louis is also a prominent name in the family and was the name of Lord Mountbatten, the uncle of the Duke of Edinburgh.

"Oh Kermie! Isn't it exciting Kate is a mummy, Prince William is a daddy - and there's a new baby boy!" says Miss Piggy, "Kind of makes you want to have a Royal child of your own. oh come on, can't you just hear the little pitter patter of tadpole feet?" she asks.

"Tadpoles don't have feet," comes Kermit's blunt reply, before he runs off screen for no apparent reason.

Kate Middleton Is In Labour, Kensington Palace Confirms

Kate Middleton Prince William

Kate Middleton is ready to pop any minute now! At least that's what an official source from Kensington Palace told the BBC on Monday (July 22) morning as the big baby day draws nearer and nearer. There were few other details about exactly how far along the Duchess of Cambridge is in her contractions and other such pregnancy matters, but chances are we won't hear anything else about the birth until the future king or queen of the United Kingdom is actually born.

Katherine Middleton
Kate is due to give birth any minute now

Kate travelled to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London with her husband the Duke of Cambridge Prince William late last week and has been it was finally confirmed that she has indeed gone into labour this morning. When the child is born it will become the third in line for the British throne, behind it's father Prince William and his father Prince Charles before him. This will apply even if their child is a daughter (but given how far overdue it is we're banking on a future king), after Queen Elizabeth II passed a groundbreaking piece of monarchical legislation last year that guaranteed any future first born the British throne regardless of gender.

In Lieu Of Spoons, Babies Sharing The Birthday Of The Royal Heir, Will Be Given Commemorative Silver Pennies

Prince William Kate Middleton

The child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will certainly be born with a silver spoon, but the Royal Mint plans to extend that luck (more or less) to all babies born on the same day. The Mint has issued a special batch of commemorative pennies to gift to babies, who share the birthday of the third in line. The 2,013 (see what they did there?) 1p coins have been stamped with the current year and each one is worth £28.

The Royal Family Get Magical On A Tour Of Warner Bros Studios In London

Prince William Prince Harry

The royals do love their pop culture. Today (April 26) Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton took a tour of the brand new London location of Warner Bros Studios along with some 500 children, Us Magazine reports. The royal family got to practice their magic skills and see a lot of the sets for the Harry Potter films up close. While Kate and Wills got trained on the right wand moves (though of course we all know real magic isn’t about foolish wand waving and silly incantations), Harry missed out. He joined his relatives back on the cobbled streets of the Diagon Alley set. Naturally, when it came time to explode some cauldrons, the younger brother failed to pass the exam. Then again, maybe it was just his muggle showing.

The three then had a look around the Batman exhibit, and, of course, were most impressed by the props. William fell so in love with the Batmobile, according to Us Magazine, that he offered to take over the role of the cape crusader (just doing his duty of course): "Christian Bale's getting old and tired," the prince joked. "I will stand in if I have to."

Bat-Fanatic: Prince William Revs Batmobile On Royal Visit To Warner Bros Studios

Prince William Kate Middleton Prince Harry

Prince William “could not resist the chance” to take a seat on Batman’s bike in a recent visit to the Warner Bros studios near Watford, The Telegraph reports today (April 26, 2013). Accompanied by his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, the royal couple were inaugurating the studio and getting a privileged behind the scenes tour of how movies such as the Batman trilogy have been made in the UK.

The £100 million studio reportedly accounts for one third of all movies made in the UK. Star Wars Episode One, The Phantom Menace and the James Bond movie Goldeneye are all amongst the studio’s success list. After a presentation on the history of Warner Bros in the UK, William and Kate – along with William’s younger brother Prince Harry - met some of the company’s staff in the huge studios, as well being presented with an array of mannequins adorned with some of the Batman movies’ iconic costumes, including Christian Bale’s Dar Knight costume, Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman costume and Tom Hardy’s Bane outfit. There were several props also on display and William took a seat on the Bat-bike. Looking at the legendary Batmobile, William joked to Harry “We'll have to borrow that for the weekend.” He even sat inside and revved its 5.7 litre engine loudly, clearly taken with the exclusive vehicle.

After leaving the studios, they were scheduled to visit the Making of Harry Potter tourist attraction, where author JK Rowling was expected to be amongst the 500 guests.

Duchess Of Cambridge Kate Middleton Tells Guardsman, "I Want A Baby Boy!"

Kate Middleton Prince William

The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton says she is ready for sleepless nights after the birth of her first child, though has revealed her gender preference for the first time.

Attending the annual St Patrick's Day ceremony in Aldershot, Kate revealed to a guardsman that she wanted a baby boy, while the Duke Of Cambridge William wanted a little girl.

Sergeant Thomas Laven told Middleton he had a 7-month-old son, Theo. "I congratulated her on the impending birth and said you've got sleepless nights to come," he told reporters. "She said she was prepared for it," he added. Inside the Mons Barracks, Kate, 31, spoke to guardsman Lee Wheeler. "I asked her do you know if it's a girl or a boy and she said not yet," Wheeler, 29, said. "She said 'I'd like to have a boy and William would like a girl.' I asked her if she had any names and she said no." Another guardsman, Jason Perry, said, "I wished her congratulations and said I hope all is fine and well. She said yes it is. I asked is she excited to have her first child and she said very," he said.

Kate Middleton Attacked, But Is She Really A 'Plastic Princess'?

Kate Middleton has been verbally attack by the Booker Prize winning novelist Hilary Mantel, who described the Duchess of Cambridge as a "shop-window mannequin" with absolutely no personality, whose only purpose in life is to breed. Wowzers, pretty heavy going stuff huh? During a lecture at the British Museum, Mantel - author of the classic novel Wolf Hall - said Kate appeared "gloss-varnished," with a perfect plastic smile.

Editor On Kate Middleton Pregnant Bikini Pictures: "Where's The Scandal?"

Kate Middleton Prince William

The editor of an Italian magazine that ignored protests from the royal family and published Kate Middleton's 'pregnant bikini pictures' has defended his actions, claiming gossip rag Chi had every right to print the photographs of the Duchess walking along a Mustique beach while showing her baby bump. St James' Palace was outraged by the publication, though editor Alfonso Signorini says he sees no harm.

"It is not possible to talk about a breach of privacy when public personalities are photographed in a public, open place such as (a) beach, attended by bathers," Signorini said in an emailed statement to Reuters. Wednesday's six-page spread came with the headline 'Kate & William - Honeymoon for three,' and showed Kate and Prince William happily walking along a beach together during their holiday earlier this year. The royals claimed the images were "a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy," though Signorini said, "The reportage portrays a couple in love in a happy moment as they walk on the seashore...Where is the scandal?"

Mustique - a destination favoured by the British royals - is an entirely private island and is extremely secluded with palm-fringed shores. Some reports suggested the pictures might have been taken by a holiday maker and sold to 'Chi' or taken from a boat using a long-lens camera. "A rounded belly can now be seen and the princess has a softer silhouette compared to how she was during their honeymoon in the Seychelles in 2011," one of the captions read.

Palace Dismay As Magazine Threatens To Publish Kate Middleton's Bikini Pictures

Kate Middleton Prince William Diana Princess Of Wales

The British Royal Family has condemned an Italian gossip magazine for threatening to publish paparazzi photographs of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton as she walked on a secluded beach in a bikini while holidaying in Mustique earlier this week. The photographs - which show Middleton with a small baby-bump - are to be published in the Italian magazine 'Chi.'

St James's Palace has attacked the mag for breaching the Duchess' privacy, saying in a statement, "We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas. This is a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy." Chi has a notorious track record when it comes to upsetting the Royal Family. The magazine was heavily criticized for being one of the first tabloids to publish pictures of Princess Diana as she lay dying in Paris following her fatal car crash. It also published paparazzi photos showing Kate Middleton sunbathing topless during a French holiday with her husband last year. The magazine, based in Segrate, Milan, is published by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore, the biggest publishing company in Italy.

The Duchess of Cambridge is currently five-months pregnant with her first child. She hit the headlines in December after being admitted to hospital with severe morning sickness. A nurse working at the facility committed suicide after putting through a call from two Australian radio DJ's, falsely believing one of them to be The Queen.

Meet The Parents: Kate Middleton And Prince William Jet Off With The In-Laws

Kate Middleton Prince William

Mother-to-be, Kate Middleton - the Duchess of Cambridge - jetted off to the Caribbean for a holiday with Prince William this week. The couple are staying at £19,000-a-week villa on the island of Mustique, though there's just one catch for the Prince - Kate's parents are staying just down the road!

According to the Sun newspaper, Kate and Will's luxury pad boasts a pool, games room and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. Last night, a source revealed, "The Duke and Duchess have joined the Middletons for a winter break. Both William and Kate were hoping her condition would not stop her from making the eight-hour flight to Barbados and the connection to Mustique." The Duchess had suffered from severe morning sickness in December, and the insider added, "A month ago such a journey would have been unthinkable for her, so this is a clear sign she has made a virtual recovery."

The royal couple - who married at Westminster Abbey in 2011 - have actually enjoyed six holidays on Mustique since they began dating after meeting at St Andrews University. It was also a favourite hideaway for William's great aunt Princess Margaret.

Prince Harry Kills Taliban Insurgents As Helicopter Gunner

Prince Harry Prince William

Prince Harry says he kills Taliban insurgents while serving as co-pilot gunner of an Apache attack helicopter in Afghanistan. The royal has been serving for around for months in southern Helmand - a Taliban heartland - and has for the first time acknowledged that he attacked enemy forces.

In an interview while out on duty in Camp Bastion, Harry explained that he was sometimes justified to "take a life to save a life," adding, "That's what we revolve around, I suppose." The brother of the Duke Of Cambridge explained how the roles of Apaches and CPGs have changed since his previous deployments in 2007 and 2008. "It used to be very much: front seat, you're firing the whole time. Now, yes we fire when we have to but essentially we're more of a deterrent than anything else. Our job out here is to make sure the guys are safe on the ground and if that means shooting someone who is shooting at them, then we will do it," said Prince Harry, third in line to the British throne. The interview gives an insight into the Prince's life around the base, in which he mixes freely with his fellow troops, eats in the canteen and plays video games, calling himself "just one of the guys."

Prince Harry also used the ITV interview to express his frustration about the British media, even the producers whom were conducting the interview. "I never wanted you guys to be out here, but there was an agreement made to invite you out on the deal that the media didn't speculate before my deployment. That's the only reason you guys are out here."

Prince Harry On The Royal Baby: "It's About Time"

Prince Harry Prince William Kate Middleton

Following the drama that occurred when a pregnant Kate Middleton visited a London hospital with severe morning sickness, we haven't heard a lot about the Royal baby, but now, while serving in the British army, Prince Harry has expressed his delight at the pending blue blooded offspring.

He was quoted by the The Telegraph as being "thrilled" for the couple and "can't wait to be an uncle", adding: "It's about time."

"Obviously I'm thrilled for both of them," he said during an interview in Helmand Province "It's about time," he joked. "I can't wait to be an uncle." And when asked if he had telephoned the Duke and Duchess to congratulate them from Afghanistan, he said: "Of course I have. I had a chat to them. I spoke to my brother and her, and they're both very well and both very happy obviously. I didn't send a letter of congratulation like most of the papers said."

Kate Middleton And Prince William's Baby Set To Be See Plenty Of Both In-Laws, If Christmas Plans Are Any Indication

Prince William Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s baby looks like it will be getting its fair share of attention from both of the couple’s families, if their Christmas plans are anything to go by.

Indicative of how close the Prince Of Wales has got to in-laws has been served by the fact that the couple will be having a major break from tradition and spending the festive break at the Middletons, and not, as is custom, with the Royal Family. People’s report suggests that Middleton wants to be with her family after suffering in recent weeks from extreme morning sickness, with William keen to be there with her.

The Middletons live in Bucklebury, though the couple will be visiting the Prince’s grandparents, The Queen and Prince Phillip, at their gathering at Sandringham, Norfolk. It’s in keeping with the perception that William has appeared eager to endorse since the pair got together, in that they are a modern couple who won’t be bowing to tradition because of the weight of history behind them – swapping between families during the holiday period is one such way of expressing it, and it appears that the decision has been done with the blessing of Buckingham Palace, the statement revealing the couple’s festive intent coming from the palace itself.

Prince William To Spend Christmas With The In-Laws

Prince William Kate Middleton Pippa Middleton

Prince William will be enjoying his roast turkey and pigs in blankets without the grandeur of Sandringham Estate surrounding him, because this year he will be enjoying his Christmas dinner with the in-laws.

This means that pregnant Kate Middleton will be able to enjoy a family Christmas this year, as the royal couple will be heading to the small village of Bucklebury in West Berkshire for the day. The news was announced yesterday via a royal statement, although it failed to go into too much detail over what the pair will be expecting.

A statement from St. James' Palace, William's official residence, said only that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be spending their festive time in Bucklebury "privately." However Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, has given us some insight into what a Bucklebury holiday might be like, following an article she wrote for Britain's Spectator magazine. She wrote: "The Middletons' Christmas should be blissfully calm. We're good at keeping each other's spirits up," adding, in reference to her father's tradition of wearing a new costume each year, "He buys a new costume each year and typically gets a bit carried away — a couple of Christmases ago, he appeared in an inflatable sumo outfit."

Prank Call Suicide Nurse Discovered By Colleague - Jacintha Saldanha Death Report Unveiled

Kate Middleton Prince William

Jacintha Saldanha - the nurse who committed suicide after receiving a prank call from an Australian radio station regarding Kate Middleton’s stay at the hospital – was reportedly found “hanging by her neck by a scarf from a wardrobe door” by a colleague. She was discovered by a colleague in the hospital living quarters, according to the report revealed at Westminster Coroner’s Court in London.

Saldanha was found dead last Friday (December 7, 2012). She had left three notes, according to CNN. Two notes were left at the scene of the hanging and a third had been left with her belongings. The contents of the notes were not disclosed at the court hearing. There were also some injuries to the nurse’s wrist, according to the news report. Jacintha is survived by two teenage children and a husband. On December 4, 2012, she answered a prank call from an Australian radio station and put the call through to a nurse on the ward where Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, was being treated for acute pregnancy-related sickness.

Her body was formally identified by her husband, Benedict Barboza. Although there are no suspicious circumstances at this time, Detective Chief Inspector James Harman did reveal that police would be investigating her telephone calls and emails as well as speaking to her friends and co-workers about “what could have led to her death.”

Was Kate Middleton Deterred By Hobbit Sickness? Prince William Attends The Hobbit Premiere Alone

Prince William Kate Middleton Ian McKellen Peter Jackson James Nesbitt Martin Freeman Nick Cave

Prince William attended the London premiere of The Hobbit alone last night.

His wife, Kate Middleton, was due to attend but was prevented from joining her husband by the pregnancy sickness that kept her in hospital for much of last week. The Duke of Cambridge was the guest of honour at last night’s glittering event at London’s Leicester Square and told the press “She would have loved to have been here if she could.” Typical, isn’t it? You’re stuck at home, pregnant and sick and hubby deserts you for the night to go to Middle Earth for the evening.

Not only did Kate miss out on watching the new film, but she also missed out on hanging out with all the A-list celebrities in attendance, such as Cate Blanchett, Sir Ian McKellan, Peter Jackson. James Nesbitt and – of course – the star of the film, Martin Freeman. Oh and Nick Cave was there! Who wouldn’t want to hang out with Nick Cave in Middle Earth?

Hillary Scott From Lady Antebellum Makes The Latest Knocked Up Celebrities List

Lady Antebellum Hillary Scott Charles Kelley Dave Haywood Jennifer Nettles Kate Middleton Prince William Fearne Cotton David Walliams Lara Stone Peaches Geldof Rochelle Wiseman Marvin Humes Claire Danes

The list of pregnant celebrities just keeps getting longer and longer this year with Lady Antebellum member Hillary Scott becoming the latest to be bearing a sprog, with husband Chris Tyrrell.

The country singer, 26, who married her band's new drummer in January this year, confirmed the happy news on Twitter to her fans. 'Chris & I are excited to announce that our Christmas gift has arrived a little early this year! We are having a BABY! We feel so blessed!!!' she wrote. It comes just in time as the trio, Hillary, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, have recently finished their huge world tour following their second album 'Own the Night's release and the news comes only days after another country singer, Jennifer Nettles, welcomed her baby boy into the world on December 6th 2012.

It's been a big year for A-List pregnancies too with Kate Middleton and Prince William's (aka the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) news being one of the most talked about events recently. Other celeb bumps include that of Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton, comedian David Walliams' wife Lara Stone, Peaches Geldof (again!), recently wed Rochelle Wiseman from The Saturdays (with her hubby JLS' Marvin Humes) and 'Homeland' star Claire Danes.

Kate Middleton Discharged From Private Hospital, A Nation Breaths Sigh Of Relief

Kate Middleton Prince William Prince Charles Noel Gallagher

After enjoying the privileges that come with private healthcare, Kate Middleton has been released from hospital after suffering from severe morning sickness, The Guardian reports. She was admitted to hospital on Monday afternoon after becoming unwell at her parents' Berkshire home.

Smiling and assuring various journalists that she's feeling "much better", her and hubby Prince William left King Edward VII private hospital in London as they head to Kensington Palace so Kate can have a rest. The general feeling from the general public is relief, after the initial elation following the news of a new royal baby. Asked about the prospect of becoming a grandfather, Prince Charles said: "I'm thrilled, marvellous. It's a very nice thought to become a grandfather in my old age." He added: "I'm very glad my daughter-in-law is getting better, thank goodness."

Not everyone has been so forthcoming with messages of warmth for the royal couple in light of their news. Noel Gallagher; another national treasure - albeit for different reasons - showed air of nonchalance when probed on the subject at a press conference. "Well, they haven't become parents yet, have they?" he said when asked for a message of congratulations. "They're not the first people in the country to have a child, are they? I've got three so... you know."

Kate Middleton And Prince William Face A World Of Jokers And Pranksters

Kate Middleton Prince William

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has been in hospital since Monday, having been admitted with a severe bout of hyperemesis gravidarum, which is basically really bad morning sickness. While you'd think everyone would be sympathetic towards the young couple and Kate's plight, there are some jokers out there who haven't taken the whole thing so seriously.

Firstly, Frankie Boyle. Ever the joker the Scottish comedian has tweeted about the news to mixed response. He said:

Kate And Will's Baby Leaves Them Facing Royal Conundrum

Kate Middleton Prince William

Kate Middleton's pregnancy won't be the glowing affair it would be for most mums, but then again, a lot of mums face the prospect of having a baby on a low income with dwindling benefits. Still, the royal couple have some decisions to make.

Firstly, with Prince William being in the army, and we all know he won't be treated differently because of his royal status, next summer will need to be planned in advance to ensure his fatherhood starts smoothly. A royal source said: "When the Duke finishes his current tour of duty next summer, he will have three options," according to The Telegraph. "He could sign on for another RAF tour of duty lasting between two and three years, he could transfer to another branch of the armed forces, or he could leave active service to concentrate on his duties as a working member of the Royal family." Oh hang on, no we were wrong, of course he'll get special treatment.

Another consideration would be their living arrangements. It has been suggested that Berkshire would their starting point, as it will mean the couple are close to the Duchess's family in Bucklebury, near Reading, with the Prince of Wales's home at Highgrove and the Queen's weekend residence at Windsor Castle are accessible. A royal source said: "The Duke has made it clear ever since the couple got engaged in 2010 that he wanted the Duchess to have every possible support, and that the Middletons would not be airbrushed out of the picture."

Will And Kate Take Note, Snooki Has Parenting Advice

Kate Middleton Prince William Nicole Polizzi

Of all the people to offer pearls of wisdom on Kate Middleton's baby, we weren't expecting Jersey Shore's Snooki to provide her knowledge on the subject of parenting. Will and Kate, make sure you're paying attention.

"Congrats to Will and Kate. I'm sure she will be an amazing mom," said Snooks, according to The New York Daily News. The Jersey Shore star, who has said she plans to raise her own little Lorenzo to have "a normal life," also offered advice on becoming a new mom while constantly surrounded by the press, hungry for a story. "Enjoy your time at home -- or the castle, in her case -- with the baby," she said. "Especially the first few months." And if Middleton decides to breast-feed her unborn little one, like Polizzi, Snooki swears by "the Boppy pillow. Every new mom should have one," she says. "You'll get to know him/her, keep them safe and fall more in love each day!"

Perhaps a more welcome message of congratulations, and we only say that because The President of the U.S.A hasn't been seen frolicking drunk in hot tubs, is that of Barack Obama's. "On behalf of everyone here in the White House, beginning with the President and first lady, we extend our congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the welcome news this morning out of London that they are expecting their first child," he said in a statement.

Kate Middleton's Baby Becomes Focus As Engagements Are Cancelled

Kate Middleton Prince William

Kate Middleton is pregnant - you knew that right? So we don't have to recap for those tunnelling beneath the earth or up in space. She's pregnant. The Duchess of Cambridge cancelled her forthcoming planned royal appearances while she remains hospitalized and works to recover from her acute morning sickness.

"The duchess will not be attending the public engagements this week, as she will be in hospital for a few days and will then need to rest," a rep for Buckingham Palace told E! News. She had three upcoming royal appearances planned, on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, but considering her recent news, it's time to focus on the next batch of Royal blood. William's immediate schedule remains unchanged, as the palace rep. reiterated that he will "continue the current tour of duty with the Search and Rescue Force" through next summer.

The Duke and Duchess were forced to go public with the news much earlier than intended after the 30-year-old Duchess was admitted to hospital with a rare form of severe morning sickness. Royal aides said the decision to go public "was very much driven by the Duke and Duchess", who were aware that it would be impossible to keep the news a secret in the modern age of social media. "It's very hard thing to go public at such an early stage, but they wanted to be open with people as much as possible," said an aide, according to The Telegraph.

Were Kate Middleton And Prince William Ordered To Have A Baby By The Palace?

Kate Middleton Prince William

Since their enormous and beautiful wedding in 2011, which two billion people managed to watch, we've all been wondering when Kate Middleton and Prince William will start their family. If the stories are true, it looks like 2013 will be their year, reports Life&Style.

Jessica Hay is supposed to be a very close friend of the royal couple, having been to school with Kate since the age of 14 and attending the wedding, however, spreading their secrets all over the world isn't the mark of being particularly good pal. "They're planning to make an announcement in December," Jessica reveals. "I have this on the highest authority, and it's not to be taken lightly. It's going to be wonderful, happy news when it's announced."

Although it is 'wonderful and happy news', apparently it isn't exactly the decision of Wills and Kate who seem to have taken orders from the palace about the state and possible habitation of Kate's womb. Apparently she "was told to put on weight by the palace in May and that 2013 would be the year they have a baby." Jessica said, "The royal family have been talking about William and Catherine having children for quite some time."

Kate Middleton Pregnant, Says Close Friend Jessica Hay

Kate Middleton Prince William

"Kate Middleton pregnant" the internet headlines have screamed for the past 12 months or so, though she's strangely yet to give birth to a child. However, Jessica Hay, a childhood acquaintance of Kate's says the Duchess of Cambridge is definitely, 100%, well and truly pregnant this time.

Ms Hay told Australian tabloid New Idea that Middleton is expecting, adding, "They're planning to make an announcement in December. William and Kate are focused on starting a family." Hmmm. The magazine attempts to add credence to the story by reporting on Middleton's recent "weight gain." Hay added, "It seems very traditional, but of course they'll be happy with boys or two girls, they don't want more. They've discussed it endlessly and don't want to be older parents." So, it's probably wise to tell you who the hell this Jessica Hay woman is anyway. Back in 2010, she claimed Middleton told her about her engagement via phone before she told anyone else. She also predicted that the wedding would happen sometime in 2011. We're still dubious about the whole thing, though Middleton and Prince William have made no secret of their desire to have children, so who knows?

In other Kate Middleton news, Marie Claire are reporting that the Duchess sent back samples from the Kardashian's new Dorothy Perkins collection. Though she's known to be keen on high street trends, it looks like this was a step too far for Kate.

William And Kate Remember Their Courtship At University Fundraiser

Prince William Kate Middleton

Prince William and Kate Middleton attended a fundraiser for their alma mater St Andrews University last night (Nov 8), and recalled the time they first met, and their subsequent relationship, to the attendees at the dinner party held in London.

The royal couple attended the charity gala to help raise money for the university's 600th anniversary appeal, the same University where the pair first met and studied together. Will and Kate met with students, staff and alumni before recalling their own time together at the presigious Scottish institute. The appeal the two were helping to raise money for aims to provide financial support for promising students whose finances would make studying at the institute a struggle. The campaign was launched by William last year, during a visit to the University.

Speaking to the crowd, William said that the night was a "very special one" for him, and went on to say: "We love it for its traditions - traditions that lie at the very heart of Scotland's history. We love it because it made us look beyond St Andrews, beyond the borders of Scotland, to the wide world. But perhaps most important of all, we love it for the friendships it has given us."

Prince Harry And Chelsy Davy To Walk Down The Aisle After All?

Prince Harry Chelsy Davy Prince William Kate Middleton

Prince Harry might be obliged to walk his ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy down the aisle, as their best friends, Tom Van Straubenzee and Lady Melissa Percy are due to get married next summer.

A source close to The Mirror, said: "Everyone is absolutely delighted for Missy and Tom, they make the perfect couple. Tom absolutely adores her. They have been together for several years although did have a brief split and got back together last May." The source also added that, "Ever since then several people have been speculating an engagement would be on the cards." It is thought that Harry and Chelsy are the ideal candidates for the roles of best man and bridesmaid respectively. Harry and Van Straubenzee are best buds, with Tom helping out with the best man speech for the Royal wedding. Add to that Harry's heroics when Tom was threatened with a knife outside Battersea Power Station, the all things point to best man. A statement from the Percy family said yesterday: "The Duke and Duchess of Northumberland are delighted to announce the engagement of their younger daughter Melissa Percy to Mr Thomas van Straubenzee. The wedding is planned to take place in the summer of 2013."

The wedding is set to be the royal society event of the year, when it takes place. The whole inner circles of Royals will be toasting their nuptials, including Prince William and Kate, as the whole gang are close friends.

Kate Heads Up' North: The Duchess Begins Solo Tour In Stockton-On-Tees

Kate Middleton Prince William Prince Harry

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, arrived in Stockton-on-Tees this week for a string of solo engagements. Around 2,000 well-wishers turned out to welcome Middleton to the north-east, where she met Olympic volunteers, reports BBC News.

Dressed in a burgundy coat, the Duchess braved the blustery weather to meet the likes of William Hardy, 14, who carried the Olympic torch through Newcastle earlier in the summer. William contracted meningitis when just 23 months old, having both of his legs and part of his left arm amputated. Megan Bartle, 20, who arrived early to get a good vantage point, said of the Duchess, "She is such a brilliant role model and a true inspiration. She also carries herself beautifully, but is modest and at ease with the public.I like the way she mixes designer clothes with high street fashion and almost as if she is saying, 'I don't think I'm better than you'". 67-year-old Mercy Scott got the bus from neighbouring Cramlington for Middleton's arrival, saying, "We understand though, why William isn't here and seeing Kate in person is brilliant. She is so beautiful and good natured and will make a good queen."

Prince William was unable to attend the royal engagement following the death of his former nanny Olga Powell. The Prince attended the funeral of Mrs Powell, who cared for he and Prince Harry following their parent's divorce and the death of their mother, Princess Diana.

Morrissey Calls Prince Harry An 'Absolute Idiot' Over Vegas Pictures

Morrissey Prince Harry Prince William Kate Middleton

Morrissey combined his two favourite bugbears - the British royal family and meat-eaters - into one long grumble to the Australian press recently, calling Prince Harry an "idiot" in reaction to recent nude images of him coming out from a holiday in Las Vegas, and lambasting Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton for their actions and attitudes towards animals.

Talking to Australia's news.com, Morrissey said "I wasn't surprised by Harry in Vegas because he's always been an absolute idiot." Varying on his topic, the outspoken musicians said "The monarchy is foremost a business, and it's important to them that the British public continue to finance the excessive luxurious lifestyles of the now quite enormous, wasteful and useless 'royal' family. I find it very sad."

Turning his attentions to Will and Kate, Morrissey scorned "William shoots deer, Kate's favorite food is the shockingly cruel fois gras, Harry shoots water buffalo. They are the most dysfunctional, unpleasant and arrogant people on the planet, a sour soap opera, and they should resign and retire." Ramming home his belief that the royal family were nothing other than an embarrassment, the singer raged "Can you imagine how the Prime Minister of Argentina viewed Harry in Vegas? Or the Pope? Or the Archbishop of Canterbury?"

Prince Harry Drops Complaint Over Naked Vegas Photos

Prince Harry Kate Middleton Prince William

The Royal Family has decided against lodging a complaint with the press watchdog over Prince Harry’s Vegas pictures Photographs of the 27-year-old Prince cavorting naked in a Sin City hotel room were published by The Sun newspaper, causing a nationwide storm.

Despite the newspaper being the only UK publication to run the photographs, Harry’s office in St. James’s Palace said it had decided against pursuing a formal complaint given the Prince’s current deployment in Afghanistan, reports Reuters. It may be that the royals are concentrating their legal efforts on a French photographer who took topless pictures of The Duchess of Cambridge while she was holidaying with Prince William. The couple have launched a criminal complaint against the snapper, who provided French gossip magazine Closer with the photographs.

Harry returned to Afghanistan this month to fly attack helicopters in the NATO-led war against the Taliban. The royals said pursuing the Vegas scandal would “not be appropriate at this time and would prove to be a distraction” to the Prince’s service. The photographs were an embarrassment for the family after a summer celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Kate Middleton Look-Alike: From Burger Joint To Royal Stardom

Kate Middleton Prince William

A Kate Middleton Look-alike has quit her job at a local burger joint, to make £650 a day making appearances as the Duchess of Cambridge. The Kate lookalike – Heidi Agan from Northamptonshire –is constantly being mistaken for Middleton and says her 3-year-old daughter can’t tell them apart.

On closer inspection, we here at Contacmusic.com can’t deny the likeness, except, well, Ms Agan looks a little old. Nevertheless, on realising she could be raking in thousands, Heidi promptly quit her job as a waitress at her local Frankie and Benny’s and began work as a fully-fledged Kate Middleton look-alike. She told the Daily Mail, “I’ve had other people come up to me during jobs convinced I’m Kate…When my daughter sees her in a magazine she points and says “there you are mummy’” She’s turned into a right little royalist.” Heidi joined the London based agency Susan Scott Lookalikes in February and has stocked up on some of the Duchess’ most famous high street outfits - most notably the blue dress she wore when she and Prince William announced their engagement.

She’s already been swamped with offers, though Heidi says the strangest request she’s had so far was to play a game of Twister with Prince William and the Queen lookalikes. Bit weird.

French Court Will Rule On Further Publication Of Kate Middleton Photos

Kate Middleton Prince William

Today (September 18, 2012), a French court will decide whether or not Closer magazine will be permitted to publish images of Kate Middleton topless on its website and tablet applications. The images have already caused a furore, when they were published in its print publication last week. The images - which appear to have been taken with a photographic lens and without the knowledge or consent of Kate or her husband Prince William - have also been published by the Italian magazine Chi. According to Associated Press, both Closer and Chi are published by Mondador, the Italian publishing house owned by Silvio Berlusconi.

The court in Nanterre will decide, at noon today, whether or not to uphold the request to stop the magazine from publishing the Kate Middleton photos further. Closer published 14 pictures of Kate topless and their lawyer Aurelien Hamelle told the court that the royal couple had been sharing a "healthy and profoundly intimate" moment when their privacy was betrayed and the pictures were taken. Hamelle is reportedly seeking damages of ?5,000 ($6,550) from Closer, as well as an injunction, preventing further publication of the snaps. He also requested that the magazine be fined ?10,000 ($13,100) for every day that the injunction is not respected. In addition to this, he has asked for ?100,000 ($131,000) if the photographs are sold on, either in France or abroad.

So far, no UK publication has chosen to publish the photos of Kate. The images of the Duchess showed her relaxing at a private villa in Provence, in southern France.
