The royals do love their pop culture. Today (April 26) Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton took a tour of the brand new London location of Warner Bros Studios along with some 500 children, Us Magazine reports. The royal family got to practice their magic skills and see a lot of the sets for the Harry Potter films up close. While Kate and Wills got trained on the right wand moves (though of course we all know real magic isn’t about foolish wand waving and silly incantations), Harry missed out. He joined his relatives back on the cobbled streets of the Diagon Alley set. Naturally, when it came time to explode some cauldrons, the younger brother failed to pass the exam. Then again, maybe it was just his muggle showing.

The three then had a look around the Batman exhibit, and, of course, were most impressed by the props. William fell so in love with the Batmobile, according to Us Magazine, that he offered to take over the role of the cape crusader (just doing his duty of course): "Christian Bale's getting old and tired," the prince joked. "I will stand in if I have to."

But of course, ever the doting husband, he was thinking of his wife and their future family as well: "I'm over the moon just to have seen the real Batmobile and Batpod. You don't have baby seats for those cars, do you, by any chance?" William joked. "On the other hand Harry's just excited to see a real-life talking owl in the Harry Potter studios. I haven't told him yet that Harry Potter is fictional, so please keep the secret for a little longer."

Yes, well that’s exactly what a muggle would think.
