Public Enemy Play London

Public Enemy Performing At The Freeze Festival in London

Public Enemy brought the house down at the Freeze Festival in London, as they closed the event on Saturday (October 27, 2012) with a greatest hits set that saw the rap troupe take in songs like 'Don't Believe The Hype', 'Timebomb' and 'Bring The Noise'. Flavor Fav hasn't had the best of months, having been arrested for domestic battery assault after an incident with his girlfriend, but outwardly at least he seemed to be in good spirits as he hooked up with Chuck D to ensure the UK crowd didn't go home disappointed.

Following the performance, which saw the group finish with their 1989 game changing single 'Fight The Power', Flavor said to the crowd "There are two things we're against in this world, racism and separatism. That's why these world wars have got to stop right now everybody, every religion, we are all God's children, no matter who we are." Continuing, he added "I want everybody to put a finger in the air and say 'f**k racism, and f**k separatism.' If you want this for everybody in the world. If you want peaceful neighbourhoods. If you want peaceful households, I want you to say 'peace,' 'peace.' And I want to thank y'all for coming to a Public Enemy show." The Freeze Festival incorporates music with extreme sports and took place at the disused Battersea Power Station in the UK capital.
