Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino loved making new movie Kill Bill in China, because the Communist country's nightlife is so wild.

The film-maker was surprised to find that drugs are rife in the country as he shot on location in Beijing - and fully embraced the city's burgeoning nightlife.

He says, "China is the Ecstasy capital of the world right now. The nightlife in China is off the hook.

"The first time I went to the Great Wall of China, it was like an all-night rave. They had rock bands, fireworks. We were smoking pot and doing E. It's a great way to see the wall for the first time."
