Ex-Gallows front man Frank Carter and former Hope Conspiracy guitarist Jim Carroll formed Pure Love less than a year ago in New York and their immediate musical chemistry brings us the hardcore sound of newly released Bury My Bones; a taste of their classically rock debut album. They were given airplay last night courtesy of Daniel P. Carter on Radio 1.
The video is an almost completely black and white kaleidoscopic effect representing the aggression and fury invested in this raw, thrilling single. The name "Pure Love" is taken from 70s jazz/rock fusion band Mahavishnu Orchestra's short and psychedelic song Sapphire Bullets of Pure Love -the influence of which is certainly obvious in the artistic video-making.
The duo is currently completing their debut album in Brooklyn, New York with famed producer Gil Norton (Sum 41, Foo Fighters). Strongly anticipated, the album will be released in October with the record label who brought us Metallica, The Killers and Stereophonics, Vertigo records. Pure Love has also announced a concert at London's Scala, May 29th following their outstanding sell-out debut gig at London Bush Hall on Valentine's Day; dare we say that this will be another packed and electrifying show?!
