Queen legend Brian May has criticised a judge on Britain's Strictly Come Dancing for insulting his actress wife Anita Dobson on the TV talent show.
Dobson has been showing off her fancy footwork on the U.K. version of Dancing With The Stars, but judge Craig Revel Horwood was unimpressed with her recent salsa, labelling her "a bit like Bonnie Langford being chased by a barking Dalmatian".
Rocker May was unhappy with the comment directed at his wife and has fired off a scathing reply to Horwood.
He tells Britain's The Sun, "Craig does his act. It's very pantomime but it's not very amusing to me. I don't like to see people insulted.
"I don't understand why people like that feel that they have to try to be funny at people's expense. I don't find it very amusing - but obviously some people do. He is also constructive and Anita is conscious that the constructive stuff is valuable."
Meanwhile, Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey - who triumphed on last year's (10) Dancing With The Stars - has been unveiled as a guest judge on the U.K. show next month (Nov11).
She says, "I'm delighted to be involved and can't wait to see what the contestants have got. I so look forward to making the pilgrimage to the birthplace of the greatest dance show - the Mecca of spray tans and tangos - and to sit in for the great and pernickity Len Goodman."
