Fact: The Roots' Questlove has signed on as executive music producer of the planned ROOTS mini-series revamp. The new project will premiere on America's History, A&E and Lifetime networks next year (16).

Fact: Hip-hop star and foodie Questlove invited pals including singers Bjork and Solange Knowles and actors Sophia Bush, David Cross and his wife Amber Tamblyn into his New York home on Tuesday (03Jun14) for a special dinner party. The Roots star had a slew of celebrity chefs cook up dishes in his kitchen and shared photos of the unique meals from the likes of April Bloomfield, Daniel Boulud, David Chang and Dominique Ansel with fans on Instagram.com.

Fact: The Roots star Questlove will return to teach New York University students about music for a second year. The musician gave a lecture on classic albums in 2013, and this year (14), he will be talking about one of his favourite subjects - pop superstar Prince.

Fact: Reality Tv and property mogul Donald Trump, actor Matthew Broderick and musician Questlove helped welcome new Tv co-host Jenny McCarthy to U.S. talk show The View on Monday (09Sep13) by appearing in a funny skit. The sketch featured fellow presenter Sherri Shepherd taking the blonde beauty around New York City to familiarise her with the Big Apple, where the programme is filmed, as they bumped into the famous faces.
