Sin City's Clive Owen and True Detective actress Kelly Reilly will make their Broadway debuts in the Roundabout Theatre Company production, and now the British rocker has agreed to write songs for the show, about a married couple which receives a visit from an old friend.

Director Douglas Hodge states, "In true Thom Yorke-style, the music is epic, heartbreaking, irresistible and complex. I'm hopeful this collaboration will result in a new kind of theatregoer coming to our show."

Previews will begin at the American Airlines Theatre on 17 September (15), ahead of an October (15) opening.

Yorke is the latest mainstream musician to take his talents to the Great White Way - fellow Brit Sting penned the songs for his musical The Last Ship, Alicia Keys scored 2011's Stick Fly, and Cyndi Lauper created tracks for hit musical Kinky Boots.

And he's not the first member of the band to get theatrical - guitarist Jonny Greenwood has composed music for the films Inherent Vice, The Master, We Need to Talk About Kevin and There Will Be Blood.
