There's nothing like a game of 'Never Have I Ever' with Ellen Degeneres to show you up if you're a celebrity, and Reese Witherspoon and Pink certainly found themselves in an embarrassing position when they realised just how squeaky clean the talk show host is.

The singer, whose album 'Beautiful Trauma' comes out this October, and the 'Big Little Lies' actress were invited on to 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' this week to discuss their current lives and careers, and found themselves instead divulging their darkest secrets in a hilarious game of 'Never Have I Ever'. Ellen asked the questions while they all answered with a paddle reading 'I Have' on one side and 'I Have Never' on the other.

Reese Witherspoon is set to guest star in an episode of 'The Mindy Project’s' final season.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by the show’s creator and star Mindy Kaling, who shared an image on Instagram of her and Reese on set .

Jennifer Aniston is to return to the small screen after more than a decade away, in her first regular role since ‘Friends’, in a series in collaboration with fellow star Reese Witherspoon about morning television shows and the wider New York media scene.

The series, currently untitled but headed up by former HBO exec Michael Ellenberg, is to be the subject of a bidding war in the coming weeks and is expected to be shopped around to streaming services as well as the premium cable networks. Given the heavyweight names attached to the project, it is expected to get serious interest from multiple parties, industry insiders are saying, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ellenberg’s newly formed Media Res company will be spearheading the project, with ‘House of Cards’ producer Jay Carson attached to write the script. Witherspoon and Aniston will also have executive production roles, with Witherspoon producing through her Hello Sunshine production company.

Is the time right to revisit Legally Blonde again? Well Reese Witherspoon certainly thinks so. The actress got fans hopes up during a recent appearance on Lifetime’s ‘Fashionably Late,’ talk show, hosted by Rachel Zoe, by saying that she’s thinks we’re ready to see what Elle’s been up to.

“A lot of writers, over the years have come up with different ideas for it,” the actress said. “I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office.”

Fans of the late nineties favourite Cruel Intentions will be delighted to learn that a TV sequel, focussed on the child of Annette Hargrove and Sebastian Valmont, is currently in the works.

According to Deadline on Wednesday (October 21st), NBC is picking up a series revolving around Bash Casey, the son of the characters played by Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, the latter of which died at the end of the original movie. It would seem that Annette was pregnant at that point, and the storyline of the mooted series will pick up on the life of the now-16 year old boy.

Reese Witherspoon is big on female representation in cinema, as she explained during a Produced By panel in Los Angeles. The Oscar winner has made a concentrated move towards production in recent years, having worked on films like Gone Girl and Wild, but she finds that it’s a constant struggle to find projects with well-rounded, interesting parts for women.

Witherspoon has very strict standards for the kinds of films she produces.

Still, Witherspoon explained why she thinks it’s just a reasonable expectation for filmmakers: “Women make up 50 percent of the population, so we should make up 50 percent of the [roles and stories] in movies. It’s not a crazy thought, it’s just a representation of reality."

Cruel Intentions fans got a treat this week with the premiere of the “unauthorised” stage musical. It also served as the perfect opportunity for a little Cruel Intentions reunion, as stars of the film attended the opening night of The Unauthorised Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions at Rockwell: Table & Stage in L.A.

Sarah Michelle Gellar reunited with her former co-stars and the Cruel Intentions trio shared some love.

The musical, directed by Lindsey Rosin, is filled with iconic '90s songs like TLC's No Scrubs, Natalie Imbruglia's Torn, and Ace of Base's I Saw the Sign. According to E! News’ sleuths, the ladies sang along, applauded, high fived and generally looked like they loved the show.

Reese Witherspoon has been signed by Disney to star in a live action Tinkerbell film. The film, entitled Tink, will be a whole new take on the mischievous Peter Pan heroine. In a similar vein to Maleficent, the 2014 movie starring Angelina Jolie which offered a fresh take on the Sleeping Beauty baddie, Tink will show a different side to Tinkerbell.

Reese Witherspoon is set to star in Tink.

The release of the Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon starrer Hot Pursuit may have caught movie-goers by surprise, but the pairing falls squarely within the “I didn’t even know how much I needed this until now” category.

Academy Award winner Witherspoon, also one of the film's producers, plays an uptight police officer who has to protect the more outgoing widow of a drug boss, played by Colombian-born Vergara. By the synopsis alone, we can lump this in with the kind of cop comedy we’ve seen with Bad Boys, Showtime and, on the “female-driven” front – because that’s a genre now –  Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy’s 2013 offering, The Heat.

Witherspoon produced and starred in the female-driven flick.

On last night's edition of 'Saturday Night Live' guest host Reese Witherspoon led the ‘SNL’ cast as they made some very public apologies to their mothers for for all those times they behaved badly, as well as embarrassing themselves a little in the process. The Hot Pursuit star was hosting the show for the second time in her career, 14 years after her first appearance in 2001.

Introducing her own mother Betty, Reese apologised for a time she said she was going to sleep over at her friend Ashley's house, but was actually going to a hotel with her boyfriend. But proving she always really was a good girl, young Reese ended up feeling so guilty she just went back to Ashley's anyway.

This weekend at the box office – things went exactly as predicted, in that Avengers maintained its top spot, making bank with another $77.2 million, making it the film with the second highest sophomore weekend gross of all time. It surpassed the second weekend of Fox’s Avatar ($75.6 million) but fell behind predecessor Marvel’s The Avengers ($103.1 million).

Despite receiving favourable reviews, Hot Pursuit didn't do too well at the box office.

Directed by Joss Whedon, Age of Ultron follows superheroes Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) as they battle  the new villain of the franchise, technological ultra baddie Ultron (James Spader). Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson also star in the film as twins Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, aka (this isn’t a spoiler, they were in the trailer) Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman will star in and produce HBO's limited series, Big Little Lies. The series is an adaptation of Liane Moriarty's 2014 novel of the same name. Writer David E. Kelley, who created such shows as Ally McBeal and Boston Legal, has written the screenplay for the upcoming series.

Reese Witherspoon will be starring and producing in Big Little Lies.

Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara led the charge as their new action comedy 'Hot Pursuit' premiered in Los Angeles this week. It's about an uptight policewoman trying to protect the colourful widow of a drug kingpin as they are chased by corrupt cops and mob killers. It opens this weekend in America and in July in the UK.

Reese Witherspoon's daughter looks just like her mum! Witherspoon posted a photograph with her 15-year-old daughter Ava on Instagram on Thursday (30th April) and their similarity is certainly striking. Witherspoon and Eva were getting ready for the Los Angeles premiere of Witherspoon's latest film, Hot Pursuit, when the photo was taken. Ava is Witherspoon's daughter with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. Although Ava looked remarkably like her mother, she certainly has a look of Phillippe about her - especially around the nose!

Reese Witherspoon has criticised actors who refuse to portray homosexual characters on screen. The 39 year old star believes that actors who won’t take on gay roles need to “lighten up” and accept that part of their job is to “transform”.

In a joint interview with Sofia Vergara, her co-star on the upcoming movie Hot Pursuit, Witherspoon told Pridesource.com: “I think gay people are able to play straight roles; straight people are able to play gay roles. The whole point of being an actor is to transform. If people don't understand that we need to be malleable in our sexuality, then I think they need to lighten up.”

If it wasn't enough for Witherspoon to take on such an inspiring feminine role in her latest movie 'Wild'; a film based on the memoirs of Cheryl Strayed, a first time hiker who walked 1,100 miles along the Pacific Crest Trail in a journey of self-discovery; she is now encouraging other actresses and celebrities to want more from their public appearances. The star took to Instagram with a list of questions she hoped to hear as she appeared on the red carpet at the Oscars, including 'What's the biggest risk you've taken that you feel has paid off?' and 'What accomplishment are you most proud of?'.
