Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper's mattress has been attacked by bed bugs.

The Hollywood couple - who started dating last year - have reportedly had to fork out a huge sum on a new Tempur-Pedic mattress after tiny parasites started living in their bedding.

A source told the National Enquirer: "Bradley's been travelling a lot and staying in various hotels, and figures he must have picked the bed bugs up somewhere and brought them home."

Although there are treatments available to eliminate the bugs from furnishings, the 41-year-old actress was reportedly so "creeped out" she made the 35-year-old hunk replace it immediately.

The source added: "Renee was really creeped out, and insisted he get rid of the old mattress and buy a new one!"

It is believed the couple originally thought the bite marks they found on their bodies stemmed from fleas on Bradley's dogs Charlotte and Samson, but on closer inspection, the housekeeper discovered black bugs living in their sheets.
