British actress Rhona Mitra is convinced she can save a "portion of the world" after undergoing killer work-out regimes for back to back action films DOOMSDAY and Underworld: RISE OF THE LYCANS.
The star, who was the first human Lara Croft for the Tomb Raider franchise, admits training for the new Underworld film was relatively easy because she was already in superb shape, after spending seven months learning car skills and martial arts.
She says, "It was brutal. I trained for two months before shooting even started.
"I got to drive a Bentley around a race track and learned how to do 180 (degree) turns. It was awesome. I was pretty much re-enacting my childhood with two boys (brothers).
"And Underworld was kind of like learning a Janet Jackson dance move.
"After all of this, I thought, 'OK, I could save a portion of the world.'"
