Actor Rhys Ifans is following in the footsteps of Hollywood legend Richard Burton by taking over as president of a children's theatre group in his native Wales.
The Notting Hill star has signed up to oversee the running of the Rhyl Children's Theatre Club. Late screen idol and fellow Welshman Burton is among the group's previous presidents.
Ifans says, "This is an excellent project, especially in its emphasis on young people. I'm proud to be its president as I was involved with members whilst in the Clwyd Youth Theatre."
