Mother’s Day For Rihanna – Getting Told Off For Dressing Down

Mums. Today we celebrate them. But for some, this is a day of getting told off. Rihanna, for instance, whose mum isn’t a fan of her raunchy behaviour and dress sense has had it in the ear.

The 25-year-old told Elle magazine, "I’m not afraid of any person other than my mother, but I’m terrified of her. She called me two days ago and reeled me in about two pictures Melissa put up on Instagram , a sneak peek from a photo book she’s making about me. She went crazy on me. I was embarrassed. I felt like I got my ass whipped in front of my class at school. She humbled the f*** out of me." It’s not just Rihanna’s ma that gets annoyed with her daughter’s penchant for the scantily clad; Nicole Scherzinger has a similar issue with her mum. “I’m thirtysomething but she still calls me and scolds me. She says, ‘I always tell you to not compromise yourself, Nicole’. She sees me as the highest daughter. She’s very spiritual. She keeps me grounded. She’s my rock.”
