After an unfortunate touring incident, Rihanna was clearly in need of a change.
Come one, come all – Rihanna has a brand new hair color. The singer apparently got bored with her old do, while traveling around the UK and made the drastic change overnight, on Thursday, June 18. At the time, RiRi was staying at the Dorchester Hotel, where she presumably called in an ememrgency meeting with her stylist – she’s Rihanna, she can afford that kind of thing. According to The Mirror, later on Thursday, the singer stepped out, debuting her glossy black locks with dip dyed grey ends. It was a drastic change from the messy blond do the singer was sporting during her unfortunate Manchester gig earlier in the week.
The outfit might have been plain, but the hair more than made up for it.
The singer (and her still blonde hairdo) were late to the Manchester show, as often happens with RiRi these days. But, far from keeping quiet and enjoying the show when it did eventually begin, some concertgoers decided to take justice into their own hands and hurled – of all things – crisp packets at the enthusiastic singer. In a rather funny twist of fate, this began right after Rihanna had had a mushy moment, gushing about the love and support of her fans. Apparently not everyone was feeling quite lovely and supportive that day.
She wasn't in the best of spirits after the Manchester gig.
After that incident, it seems only natural that the Barbadian beauty would be a little bit shaken up. Maybe she made the change to invite in some change of luck? Will the new hair bring RiRi some fresh, new karma? We suspect it could only happen if it also comes with a matching silver wristwatch – or any time-keeping device for that matter.
