32 year old Shirlene Quigley, a professional dancer who has worked with Rihanna, Beyonce and many more, has been missing since the early hours of Sunday morning.
Rihanna has taken to social media to notify her fans about the reported disappearance of her friend Shirlene Quigley, a back-up dancer who has worked on several occasions with her and also the likes of Missy Elliott and Beyonce.
A police search has been triggered for the woman, who was last seen getting on a bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City in the early hours of Sunday morning (around 01:00am local time). Quigley’s father, who usually receives a phone call every night from his daughter, became concerned when he didn’t hear from her.
While authorities search for the 32 year old dancer, RiRi told her fans about the situation and urged them to report anything to the police in North Bergen in New Jersey, according to NBC New York.
“This beautiful soul, and former dancer of mine is MISSING!!!” the Barbadian singer wrote on Instagram on Monday evening (October 24th) alongside a video of Quigley. “My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her!”

Quigley made her debut as a dancer back in 2003 at the age of 18 with Beyonce in her video for ‘Crazy In Love’. Since then, she’s starred in video and live performances with Ashanti, Jamie Foxx, Mary J Blige and Missy Elliott among others. She is also a dance teacher, and created the first High Heel Dance class at the prestigious Millennium Dance Complex.
In the video of Quigley that RiRi shared, the dancer says: “Imagine if we treated each other like we all really came from the same family. I know people probably think I’m crazy because I’m always telling everyone ‘I love you! I love you!’ Because the minute that I meet somebody I do love them because I know in my heart and in my spirit that that’s my brother and my sister, that’s my neighbour.”
