Fresh off making her return to the music world with new album Anti, Rihanna has turned her hand to fashion once again, with a new shoe collection. A collaboration with legendary shoe designer Manolo Blahnik, Denim Desserts is a six-piece limited edition collection which hits selected stores on May 5th.

"This is an incredibly exciting collaboration and I am absolutely thrilled with the results - working with Rihanna has been amazing and her drive, passion, creativity and style has been reflected in the designs, with fabulous results," Blahnik told Vogue . "For Manolo Blahnik, Rihanna was a collaboration we were really excited about," CEO of Manolo Blahnik, Kristina Blahnik, added. "We firmly believed the two of them working hand-in-hand together with their creativity would achieve something totally unique and very special - we are really, really excited for the collection to launch.”

The collection uses denim and sequins, with the designs based on the singer’s hand tattoos. In a statement the singer said: "The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes, I am sorry for that woman because I'm going to literally run after her, shouting, 'Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?' I'm going to have a moment!”.

The standout piece from the collection is the impractical looking, waist high 9 to 5 boot, which also happens to be Rihanna’s favourite. "If you're trying to get back home to your bed, don't wear them boots!" she added. “You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble.” The collection will be available from Manolo Blahnik stores in New York, London and Hong Kong from May 5th.
