The much anticipated new single by Rihanna has premiered on Ryan Seacrest'S radio show today (September 7th 2010). 'Only Girl (In The World)' will be the first single released from the new album 'Loud', which is due to hit shelves in November, reports NME.com. Speaking about the new record during a web-chat on her official website, the 22-year-old singer said, "I didn't want to go backward and remake 'Good Girl Gone Bad'. I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna", before adding, "I'm gonna miss the 'Rated R' era too, but NOTHING compares to the album I just made".
Immediately after the single's radio debut, fans of the 'Don't Stop The Music' star took to social networking site Twitter to air their opinions and share their thoughts on the latest material, and Rihanna addressed her legion of followers on the web-chat, saying, "I made sure not to let you down with my music! You guys are always defending me, so now you've got some great songs to justify it".
Rihanna's last album, 'Rated R', was released in November 2009 on Def Jam Recordings - it debuted at #4 in the US Billboard 200 chart, selling over 180,000 copies in its first week.
