The Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award winner kicked off the 58th annual event by cutting the ribbon and she then led around 20,000 marchers through the streets of the Big Apple.

Prior to cruising down the parade route in a classic car, Moreno told local news station WABC that she was looking forward to the 2015 event since she has never been able to attend before due to scheduling issues.

She said, "The few times I was invited to be a part of it, not the grand marshal, but a part of it, I was working, so I have seen it on film, so that's why I'm so excited... It's going to be amazing!"

Also on hand was fellow Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, who received the Nuestro Orgullo (Our Pride) award for his "inspiring contribution to the American stage."

He is currently earning acclaim for his role in historical musical, Hamilton, which is set to hit the Great White Way next month (Jun15).
