With rumours rife that Rita Ora is about to jump ship from ‘The Voice’ to ‘The X-Factor’, the singer has been given a shining endorsement from one half of the show’s new hosting duo, Olly Murs. Murs will be hosting the talent show’s new season alongside presenter Caroline Flack, but before it gets underway there’s the little matter of who will be joining the judging panel to sort out.

Ora has become the hot contender to replace Mel B on the panel even though she’ll be coming straight from rival talent show BBC One's ‘The Voice’. Speaking to The Mirror during Capital's Summertime Ball, Murs addressed the rumours that Rita was about to sign on for the new series saying, "I'll be honest. I think Rita would be a good one because she's done The Voice.”

Murs also seemed to confirm the other big ‘X-Factor’ rumour, that Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw was also set to take the judge’s chair. The singer added that he thinks Ora has a ‘great personality’ and that her and 'Grimmy’ get on well.

Bookmakers also seem to think Ora is a sure thing, after a run of bets on the 24 year old saw her odds fall from 5/2 to 4/6 before the market was suspended at 10.20am on Sunday morning. "We saw a similar gamble shortly before Dannii Minogue joined the panel and it looks like Rita has got the job," said William Hill spokesperson Rupert Adams.

The Sun also reported over the weekend that Ora is now in ‘advanced talks’ to join the show, with her contract expected to be signed in the next couple of days. An insider told the newspaper, “Rita really wants to be on the panel now so it's a matter of making the logistics work. There's a lot to work through.”

But so far show bosses are keeping tight lipped with a spokesperson simply commenting, “There is particularly intense speculation over the judging panel this year. No formal decision has been made about the line-up as yet.” So will it be Ora and Grimshaw joining Simon this series?
