Rob was diagnosed with diabetes at the end of 2015.
Rob Kardashian ended 2015 with a major health scare, after he was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with diabetes. But according to sister Khloe, Rob’s health scare was the wake-up call he needed to set him on course for a positive 2016, where he can transform himself mentally and physically.
Khloe Kardashian has been speaking about her brother Rob’s recent health scare.
Speaking to E!’s Catt Sadler, Khloe said that contrary to reports the family did not have a sit-down intervention with Rob, but instead she believes that the phone conversation she had with her brother at the end of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'’ last season was pivotal. "We didn't mean to film [it] and it just happened.,” Khloe said.
“We filmed an intervention that aired...not so much like a sit-down and this blah, blah, blah, it was like over the phone and it was just like that's when the time happened and we happened to be filming and we just needed to really address a lot of stuff with Rob.”

“And it came to be that I'm an enabler because I baby him too much but I can't kick my brother out, that's never gonna happen.” But since his diabetes diagnosis in December, Khloe says she’s seen a positive change in Rob.
"I think Rob's health scare really again, leaving that in 2015 all the bad stuff, 2016 I think is gonna be a really positive great year. And I think that health scare hopefully rattled Rob a little bit and maybe woke him up."
“I know it's only what January 7 or 8, it's only eight days of this year but I think I've seen such a great transformation just mentally right now. So I hope that sticks. Again it's only been a week, but I hope that sticks and I'm always praying and rooting for Rob.”
Writing on her website earlier in the week, Khloe also shared how she’s been motivating her bother to get healthier. "People ask me all the time, 'How did you bounce back from your breakup?'" she wrote.

"I guess since I started transforming my body and myself after such a low point in my life, people see me as some sort of expert on the subject. I'm not claiming to be one, but I do have some insight to share with you dolls. So because you asked, here's how I feel like a badass after a breakup!"
"I told Rob a while back: the best form of revenge is a good body,” Khloe added. “It's a little silly but true. There is literally no downfall to working out your blues in the gym! You'll feel better, and the by-product will be a fierce bod that's bound to make your ex do a double-take."
