The actor passed away aged 63 after a battle with a rare pituitary gland disorder, and Zombie has now spoken out to remember the actor who was a part of his directorial debut.

Zombie shared a picture of Keyes in character on his Facebook.com page, along with a snap of himself posing with the actor and the rest of the cast, and he added a note to remember his friend.

He writes, "I have just heard the terrible news that our friend Irwin Keyes has passed away. Irwin was a cool guy and a big part of the House of 1000 Corpses family. He will be missed by us all."
