Rob Zombie was the toast of the Metal Hammer Golden God Awards in London on Monday (13Jun11) as he was handed the night's top prize in front of an audience dressed as the undead in his honour.
The rocker/director was presented with the Golden God 2011 prize by music veteran Alice Cooper during a ceremony at the British capital's IndigO2 venue to mark his stellar 26-year career.
The night was made extra special for the star as hundreds of attendees turned out in zombie costumes as a special tribute.
Other awards went to Iron Maiden, who claimed the title of Best U.K. Band, and Judas Priest, who landed the Icons Award, while Twisted Sister took home the Inspiration Award.
Killing Joke scooped the Best Album prize for Absolute Dissent, Avenged Sevenfold landed Best International Band and Welsh rockers Skindred were named Best Live Band.
