Veteran Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane has one complaint about starring in the Harry Potter movies - he hates undergoing the hours of make-up it takes to attach his character's beard.

Coltrane - who plays HOGWARTS' hairy caretaker RUBEUS HAGRID - admits he's basking in the success of the big screen adaptations of Jk Rowling's popular books, but wishes he didn't have to sit through the same "horrible" routine every day on set.

He complains, "It's revolting having your face covered in glue. It's a horrible, horrible thing and the only downside of these wonderful films for me.

"It also means that kids never recognise me. They just know Hagrid - and I am buried under tons of make-up, beard and costume."
