Robbie Williams will release a new swing album.

The 'Candy' singer is preparing the sequel to his 2001 album 'Swing When You're Winning' in time for Christmas this year.

The singer's first attempt at re-recording old swing standards was a huge success, selling six million copies worldwide, reaching number one in seven countries and yielding the UK number one single 'Somethin' Stupid', recorded with Nicole Kidman.

For one track on the new album, Robbie has recruited modern-day crooner Michael Buble.

Speaking of their collaboration, Michael said: ''I got to know Robbie through [TV show] 'The X Factor' and I love him.

''The song is for his new swing album and it's so good. We had too much fun making it.''

However, before Robbie, 41, goes back to the studio to complete recording his second collection of swing classics, he is concentrating on his pop career, performing on his Take The Crown Stadium Tour, which runs until August across Europe.
