Williams previously helped Osbourne in 2013.
Robbie Williams is reportedly set to return to the ‘X Factor’, to help friend Sharon Osbourne pick her three finalist during the Judges’ Houses round. Williams previously assisted Osbourne in 2013, when she also had the Overs category, and he even helped her pick eventual winner Sam Bailey.
Robbie Williams is said to be assisting Sharon Osbourne on this year’s ‘X Factor’.
The Sun reports that Williams will join Osbourne at her Los Angeles mansion in the coming weeks for filming where they will select which three contestants from her Overs category will make it to the live finals.
A source told the newspaper that getting Williams is huge for the show as they battle ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ for Saturday night ratings. “He has a huge fanbase and will attract loads of extra viewers purely from his name,” the source said.
“It’s that sort of star quality they need to compete with Strictly. Robbie and Sharon are old mates and used to be neighbours in Los Angeles so their chemistry is amazing. Every time Robbie appears on the X Factor he proves great entertainment value.”
“As they never managed to get him to be a full-time judge, this is the next best result.” The ‘X Factor’ returns to ITV later this month, with Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh all returning as judges.
