The 70 year-old actor stopped filming the upcoming flick 'The Intern' to catch USA compete against Germany in the World Cup.
Who knew Robert De Niro is a big soccer fan.
The legendary actor is known for taking his work very seriously, but it seems the World Cup is more important.
De Niro did not want to miss USA compete against Germany on Thursday (June 26th), so he crashed a stranger's home in Brooklyn and stopped filming for the upcoming flick 'The Intern.'

The two-time Oscar winner was reportedly invited into a home on Cobble Hill to watch USA lose 1-0 to the Germans, but he would have still been happy as the Americans still advanced to the knockout stages.
A neighbour told the Business Insider that Warner Bros. emailed several homes in their apartment building requesting if De Niro could watch the game there.

"Our lead actor, Robert De Niro, would very much like to watch the World Cup game, today at 12pm," the email read. "Would it be possible to place a small portable satellite on the building rooftop ASAP and run a cable to the street to help facilitate this request?"
However, the 70 year-old star sought out a group of individuals who were already watching it and decided to join them.

"We got another email from a neighbour saying he talked to the crew and apparently he found a house of people watching it and joined them," the neighbour explained.
"He wasn't going to miss the game!" a source told Us Weekly. "He's a true American. He has no problem hanging, he enjoyed it."
