Robert Pattinson thinks waitering is ''cooler'' than acting.

The 'Twilight' star believes things have changed for people since he first became an actor and says serving customers at a restaurant or bar has become more popular than acting.

He explained to Total Film: ''It's changed a little bit now. Since I've become an actor, most people don't want to admit it. When I was just auditioning absolutely everyone was. It's crazy.

''But when you get to a certain point, no-one really wants to admit it anymore. People just want to say they're a waiter! That's way cooler! I'm not trying to be an actor, I just want to be waiter for the rest of my life.''

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old actor previously claimed he cannot remember his life before he became famous.

He shared: ''I had a bit of a struggle at first because my life really contracted and I couldn't do a lot of the stuff I used to be able to do.

''But once I got through that a year or two ago I just accepted my life is something else and now I can't really remember what it was like before, so it's much easier to deal with.''
