Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have got big but perhaps very different years ahead. Next month sees the release of Dior Homme Eau for Men - a new fragrance that the French fashion giant plans to shift with the help of the 27-year-old British star. Since its arrival on YouTube, the black-and-white commercial for the fragrance starring Pattinson has racked up 15 million views.
Robert Pattinson is the new face of Dior.
"I like trying to do ambitious things," Pattinson tells the Wall Street Journal of the collaboration, "That's what got me really enthusiastic about the campaign, that [Dior] wasn't shying away from anything."
The actor concedes that he never really had much time for male grooming before getting involved with Dior, "I was a brush-your-teeth-and-have-a-shower kind of guy. I can't tell if it's because of my association with Dior or because I'm older, but I've started moisturizing. It's been a quite profound change in my life."
In terms of his movie career, Pattinson will next star in David Cronenberg's Maps to the Stars which the actor describes as "darkly comedic Hollywood satire ghost story." He has other projects with Werner Herzog and Anton Corbijn in the works though Pattinson admits, "This year, I'm trying to see what my niche is."
His girlfriend, or ex-girlfriend, or whatever she is, Kristen Stewart appears to be fitting comfortably into her niche, which turns out to be anything that isn't Twilight.
Recently, it was revealed that the Kristen and Robert still keep in touch via Skype
Her latest movie - Peter Sattler's Camp X-Ray - premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this week to solid reviews from critics. Stewart plays a young woman who joins the military to be part of something bigger than her small-town roots. Instead, she ends up as a new guard at Guantanamo Bay, surrounded by hostile jihadists and aggressive squad-mates. However, she strikes up an unusual friendship with one of the detainees.
Kristen Stewart Scored Good Reviews for 'Camp X-Ray'
William Goss of Film.com said of the movie: "If nothing else, it suggests that Kristen Stewart may escape the prison of Twilight."
Amber Wilkinson of The Telegraph wrote, "Sattler does an impressive job of stitching unpleasant facts about Guantanamo into the narrative - from those tricky Convention semantics to Cole's discovery that the cell lights are never turned off at night."
Kristen has also ventured into poetry and recently released a piece she wrote a year ago
