Robert Pattinson has always had an air of style about him, and now he's decided to make a career move in that direction as he confesses that he's currently working on his own clothing line with Dior as well as his acting work.

The actor opened up about his new project in an interview with Numéro magazine, revealing that it is an expansion of his deal with Dior with whom he's been working as the face of Dior Homme fragrance since 2013.

'I've started making clothes', he told the publication. 'For the last two years, I've been visiting producers and craftsmen. There's already quite a few pieces. I love doing it. My style is influenced by the cities I go to, sourcing fabrics and local skills.'

He adds that different places demand different styles, with the UK and US varying enormously. 'In Los Angeles it's really easy to work with denim and do workwear inspired clothes', he says. 'In England I look more towards wool and knitwear. What I do is pretty multifaceted, clothes for men and for women, things that I make with friends.'

It's a new adventure for Pattinson, who first found fame in 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' before becoming the leading male of the 'Twilight' franchise. Of course, his girlfriend is FKA Twigs; one of the more forward-thinking fashionistas of the music world; so maybe fashion has always been something that's caught his eye.

'The first campaign comes out in April', he explains. 'I just feel super relaxed in that atmosphere, there's nothing corporate about it.' He adds that the new career venture is down to a desire to change the public's perception of him, to step away from his vampire persona for good. 'I guess that the public have a certain image of me', he says. 'I still feel like I need to prove myself. I haven't had enough lead roles for people to associate me with something else, to see me in a different light. In the meantime I'm taking my own route, always with diversity in mind.'

Meanwhile, he continues his acting work with an upcoming crime drama called 'Good Time', James Gray's adaptation of David Grann's book 'The Lost City of Z' and Harmony Korine's crime thriller 'The Trap'.
