'All is Lost' is a film that depicts a journey of one man fighting for survival while battling his own conscience.

What began as a peaceful sail at sea quickly unravels into a fight for survival, as a man is left alone in the heart of the ocean. Robert Redford is the only cast member and has very little dialect but can this be his triumphant return to the Oscars that has eluded him for nearly all his career?

Redford took home an Oscar in 1980 for 'Ordinary People' winning the best picture and he received an honorary Oscar in 2002 for his work with the Sundance institute. 'All is Lost' could finally give Redford the authentication as one of the elite Hollywood actors.

The actor will certainly have his work cut out, with strong performances expected from the likes of Idris Elba in 'Long Walk to Freedom' and George Clooney in 'Gravity.'

'All is Lost' appears to tell the story of one man's journey to what appears to be imminent death, but is actually the adventure of a resourceful sailor who represents a will of determination and motivation to live and tell the tale. This story will connect you to Redford's character every step of the way on his journey of survival as John Bleasdale from Electric Sheep states it is a "film that very eloquently provides an argument for the survival of heroes, or at least one hero."
