For the first time since the late comedian died, his 25-year-old daughter opened up about dealing with her father taking his own life.
Even though it has been over six months since Robin Williams tragically took his own life in August last year at his Northern Californian home aged 63, his daughter Zelda still can't quite understand what drove her late father to suicide.
Zelda opened up about her father's suicide for the first time on Thursday
"I don't think there's a point," the 25-year-old actress said in an interview with 'Today' on Thursday (Feb 26th). "It's not important to ask, because it's done."

Opening up about Robin's suicide for the first time since the tragic incident took place, Zelda says she is still grieving her loss but admitted she has purposely avoided trying to figure why this occurred.
"A lot of people who have been through it and lost someone [but have gone on to lead full lives] found that...there's no point questioning it, and there's no point blaming anyone else for it, and there's no point blaming yourself, or the world," she told Kate Snow. "Because it happened, so you have to continue to move, and you have to continue to live, and manage."

And although Zelda appreciates all of the fans' well wishes and support after Robin's death, she revealed that the beloved Hollywood comedian was rather different when he was at home with his family.
"He was also very private and very calm and very subdued. And so the side that people know and love and is attached to their childhood is the characters he had so much fun being...that's not going anywhere," she said. "Of course, it's lovely when people say my condolences. But for the most part it's nice to have our private life be our private life."
Williams took his own life last August, he was 63-years-old
On August 11th, Williams was found in his bedroom, fully clothed, and gently suspended in a seat with a belt wrapped around his neck, with one end wedged between the door and the frame of his closet. He also attempted to cut his wrists with a pocket knife.
The cause of death was confirmed as asphyxia due to hanging, but there were no drugs, alcohol or any other illegal substances in his system at the time, his autopsy report concluded. However, the 'Mrs, Doubtfire' actor was suffering from anxiety and Parkinson's Disease in the days leading up to his suicide.
