Museum of Modern Art played host to The Cinema Society And Montblanc’s premiere of Lionsgate And Roadside Attractions' 'A Most Wanted Man' on Tuesday, July 22. 

The British espionage-thriller, which is based on John le Carré’s novel of the same name, stars  Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Willem Dafoe, Robin Wright, Daniel Brühl and Nina Hoss and made its debut at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. 

It also represents one of Seymour-Hoffman’s final films following his untimely and tragic death in February 2014 following a drug overdose, primarily on heroin. Revered as one of the finest actors of his generation, his death would send shockwaves amongst his peers and fans alike. 

Early review for ‘A Most Wanted Man’ are positive. The film holds a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes while Metacritc holds it at a score of 72. Of Hoffman’s performance, director Anton Corbijn told TIME: “He was fun to be with. During editing when he was sitting next to me, I’d look at him and think, It’s not possible—this is absolutely not the guy ¬onscreen.”

‘A Most Wanted Man’ hits US cinemas on July 25, while UK audiences will have to wait until September 12 to catch it.
