The classic rockers hit the stage together at Rod's 70th birthday party in January (15) and now they're planning an encore as part of the Rock 'n' Horsepower festival at the Hurtwood Park Polo Club in Surrey, England next month (05Sep15) to benefit Prostate Cancer U.K.

Faces drummer Kenney Jones, who has battled prostate cancer, is the chairman of the polo club and he hosted the first Rock 'n' Horsepower event last year (14).

Confirming the reunion on his website, Stewart writes, "This year is the 40th anniversary since the Faces parted ways, so it's about time we got together for a jam!

"Being in the Faces back in the day was a whirlwind of madness, but my God, it was beyond brilliant. We are pleased to be able to support Prostate Cancer U.K."

Jones and Stewart will be joined by former Faces guitarist Ronnie Wood - the only surviving members of the original line-up following the deaths of bassist Ronnie Lane in 1997, and keyboardist Ian MCLagan in December (14).

Wood adds, "Getting back onstage with the lads playing Stay With Me and other favourites will be a blast and will make this a very special night. Being in the Faces was a mad and brilliant time for all of us, and although we don't have Ronnie and MAC with us anymore, this is our chance to remember them."

The get-together comes after years of talk about a reunion tour, with Wood and Stewart bickering publicly over plans.

The guitarist eventually gave up on any dream of hitting the road with his former frontman and reformed the Faces for a series of festival shows with Simply Red star Mick Hucknall as Stewart's replacement.
