Rod Stewart is to be honoured with the ASCAP Founders Award at the upcoming American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers 28th annual Pop Music Awards.
The Maggie May singer will be feted during a gala dinner at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles on 27 April (11).
Past Founders Awards recipients have included icons Elvis Costello, Billy Joel, Sir Paul Mccartney, Joni Mitchell, Smokey Robinson and James Taylor.
The invitation-only gala will also honour the top songwriters and publishers of Ascap's most performed pop songs of 2010.
Two days later (29April11), Fleetwood Mac star Lindsey Buckingham will be honoured at another major Ascap gala, when he picks up the 2011 Golden Note Award.
The honour will be presented to the singer/songwriter at the sixth annual 'I Create Music' Expo in Los Angeles.
