Roger Waters has slammed Thom Yorke for ''whining'' about Radiohead's controversial Israel concert.

The 48-year-old singer and his band are due to perform in Tel Aviv on Wednesday (19.07.17), and after the planned concert attracted criticism due to Israel's oppression of Palestinians, former Pink Floyd rocker Roger has hit out at the star for complaining about ''feeling insulted''.

Roger - who was one of many musicians to sign an open letter urging the 'Creep' hitmakers to cancel the show - said during an hour-long Facebook Live chat: ''We should observe the picket line. Anybody who's tempted to do that, like our friends in Radiohead, if only they would actually educate themselves.

Two of the remaining three members of prog-rock legends Pink Floyd have raised the tantalising prospect that the group might finally perform at Glastonbury Festival.

At a press conference for the V&A Museum’s upcoming Pink Floyd retrospective exhibition on Thursday (February 16th), the band’s bass player Roger Waters and drummer Nick Mason made a rare joint appearance in public. During the questions, they suggested that they might be up for playing at the iconic festival for the first time.

Presumably, this made Glasto organiser Michael Eavis’s ears prick up with excitement, having previously said that his wishlist for the festival included Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac.

Roger Waters The Wall Trailer

In 1979, Pink Floyd released their legendary number one album 'The Wall' and followed with an extraordinary mini tour. The show, curated by Roger Walters, was appropriately resurrected in 1990 - following the monumental fall of the Berlin Wall - as an expression of freedom and unity, and now comes to the big screen for the first time ever for the 25th anniversary. Waters' show in Germany is still the biggest selling solo performance ever recorded, and even now the message behind the set-up is still appropriate to modern day society. Now fans can delve deeper in the world of 'The Wall' with an insight from Waters himself on his inspirations for the songs, plus an in-conversation piece between Waters and Nick Mason entitled The Simple Facts.

Explore The Deep Themes Of 1992's 'Amused To Death' With Roger Waters [Video]

Roger Waters

Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters is set to re-release his last solo album, 1992's 'Amused To Death', as a re-mastered and re-mixed edition this summer, and as he gears up to unleash it once again upon the world, he takes us through his thinking process for each song.

Roger WatersRoger Waters opens up about 'Amused To Death' themes

Exploring themes like war, religion, politics and humanity in ever more whimsical and sardonic ways, Roger Waters really didn't hold back with 'Amused To Death'. An intelligent, conceptual collection mostly based on material from Neil Postman's book 'Amusing Ourselves to Death', he steered away from the pop conformity of love, sex and partying to deliver some more important messages - most of which are very much still relevant two decades on.

Roger Waters Concedes 'The Wall' Is "Anti-War, Protest Movie"

Roger Waters Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd's Roger Waters says his new movie Roger Waters: The Wall should be viewed as a protest against the growing spread of armed conflict, rather than a concert documentary. The movie - which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (September 6, 2014) - documents Waters' three yearlong The Wall Live tour.

However, it also includes sections of Waters visiting war cemeteries, including the grave of his father, who died in World War I. The concert itself features projections of veterans and people who died in wars.

Everything You Need To Know About Pink Floyd's New Album, 'The Endless River'

Pink Floyd David Gilmour Roger Waters

Fans of the psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd are in for a promising fall. Apparently the iconic rockers have a new album on the way title The Endless River. Most interesting though, is how the news was announced.

David Gilmour's wife Polly Samson leaked the news via Twitter. She stated: "Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called "The Endless River". Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright's swansong and very beautiful." Presumably, by "based" she meant that recordings from the late keyboardist Rick Wright (who died of cancer in 2008 at age 65) were beefed up with overdubs by Gilmour and Nick Mason. Samson co-wrote many of the lyrics featured on the band's 1994 album The Division Bell, so it's very possible she contributed to the soon-to-be released album.
