Ronda Rousey has admitted she always used to be too busy with training to go on a date with anyone when she was growing up.
Ronda Rousey ''never went on a date'' as a teenager.
The UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion has admitted she poured so much of her heart and soul into mixed martial arts training that she didn't have time to romance anyone.
Speaking to SELF magazine, she said: ''When I was a kid, all I did was train. I never went to a dance, I never had a date, I never went to a single party.
''Training was my whole life, and it was because I wanted to be able to win the Olympics more than I wanted to go to the movies with my friends. It's funny, because people get offended by the mind-set that it takes to be the best.''
However, that has all changed now as the 28-year-old beauty has accepted the invitation to be US Marine Jarrod Haschert's date to the Marine Corps Ball this December.
Ronda said she will ''totally go'' on the arm of the Lance Corporal after he posted a video on his Facebook account that went viral - with over five million views - asking her to join him to the event, which will take place in Carolina.
The sportswoman only saw the video recently and initially she was unable to accept his invite because she was due to be in training camp for her title defence against Holly Holm but this fight has now been moved to November 14.
And Ronda hasn't ruled out a potential romance either, adding: ''He's cute! He's got to be a gentleman. I'm not a first date kind of a girl. I don't know, we'll see when I meet him.''
