Jersey Shore actor hospital. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, from the hit MTV reality series Jersey Shore, is currently in a Orlando hospital after contracting kidney stones. People first reported that the 27-year-old was taken into hospital on Saturday after complaining about being in a considerable amount of discomfort, his rep telling People "He's in a lot of pain and is expected to remain there for several days."

The rep for the reality star also went on to reassure fans that despite his admittance to the hospital, he is still expected to make a full recovery some time soon. The rep added, "It's a very painful condition, but he's being treated."

Ortiz was in Orlando promoting his new alcoholic drink, Smush Cocktails, at the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America Convention over the weekend, but had to cut his promotional venture short on Saturday when he began suffering from severe pain. Hopefully his suffering will ease soon though, with his longtime girlfriend and fellow Jersey Shore star Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola, 26, said to be on her way down to Florida to be at his bedside.

The Bronx-born and raised reality star first found prominence as one of the original eight members of the hit MTV show, and has remained a part of it throughout the six series run. He met his girlfriend Sammi during the first weeks of the show, with the pair staying together throughout its run. In 2009 he was arrested for assault whilst allegedly walking home with Sammi and fellow Jersey Shore resident Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and their team of security. The civil suit against Ortiz-Magro and MTV filed by the suspected victim, Stephen Izzo, is still pending.
