The split was confirmed by O’Donnell’s representative Cindi Berger, who told Page Six in a statement, "I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November.”

"Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave 'The View.' Next week will be her last.”

A source close to the outspoken star described the situation to the New York Daily News saying, “It’s devastating personal circumstances — she just said, ‘I need to be with my family. This is very stressful. She’s splitting from her wife; she has two teenagers and a baby.”

O’Donnell first joined ‘The View’ in 2006, replacing Meredith Vieira, however the gig only lasted one season after terms of a contract extension could not be met. She had returned to the show in September 2014, along with sometime adversary Whoopi Goldberg and newcomers Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace.
