Royksopp Beautiful Day Without You Single

Royksopp can always be relied on to provide summery feel-good electro, and they have failed to disappoint yet again. Beautiful Day Without You is everything the Norwegian duo do best distilled into three minutes, hushed vocals, bubbling synths and a gently throbbing bass line are bathed in sunshine and wrapped in shiny foil for your enjoyment.
In addition to this, there are a few remixes of the title track, with Rex the Dog's early 90s rave interpretation being the stand out, and, somewhat bizarrely, a live cover of rock behemoths Queens of the Stone Age's "Go With The Flow."
Unfortunately, it's a missed opportunity, the guitars are replaced with synths, but apart from that, it's a bit too faithful to the original, with the rather weedy vocals paling into insignificance when compared to the alpha-male brogue of Josh Homme.
But, despite this blip, Royksopp have made a single well worth parting with you hard-earned pennies for.
