Ruby Rose has hit out at members of the press who have unfairly criticised her for her weight and her skin following her appearance on the red carpet at the 'Pitch Perfect 3' premiere in Australia. She was clearly saddened at being accused of having an eating disorder.

The 31-year-old model and actress is starting to realise that being a rising star isn't without it's negatives. She posted an Instagram story shaming tabloids who accused her of having an eating disorder, using the worst red carpet images of her they could find and comparing them to older shots of her when, she claims, she had an under-active thyroid.

'This is always my back', she said, referring to images of her behind. 'I have a tilted posterior (it's why I have abs but no butt) and spinal curvature from a bad car accident.'

She also slammed the stories for their flippancy in talking about eating disorders. 'Their reckless, dangerous, uneducated 'writers' put people at risk', she went on. 'They are not 'concerned' they are giddy with how many ways they can spin this to get clicks. They don't care that they are using a term like anorexia as if is isn't a serious and deadly illness. They are not just lazy but I don't know how they sleep at night... From the bottom of my heart, I am sorry if those stories triggered anything in anyone.'

'This was my insta story after having paps follow me into the airports to the gates telling me if I 'ate something' maybe they wouldn't have to do that and to 'remember where I came from'', she captioned the story.

When it came to her skin, which was also criticised for a break-out of pimples, she ranted that she didn't understand why it was causing such a fuss amongst people, especially since it happens to everyone. Though she did explain that it was to do with bad pillow cases and constant phone calls.

'I never thought I'd see the day I'd leave my beautiful country balling my eyes out when I was so excited to come home', she said. 'I'm a human. It happens. One side of my face is clear and the other side is a mess. Dermatologist says its from the bacteria from all the phone interviews I did for PP3 and a reaction to hotel pillow cases (which I already know).'

The whole debacle is just further evidence that some journalists have no conscience when it comes to body shaming women.
