Rumer Willis says people assume she is ''reckless.''

The 26-year-old star, who is Demi Moore and Bruce Willis' eldest daughter, claims her love of tattoos and experimenting with hair dye has negatively affected her image.

The 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant said: ''People have such an immediate judgement of me because I have tattoos or because my hair is sometimes crazy.

''If you let your value be determined by what other people think, you're screwed.''

Rumer admits her parents' celebrity lifestyles took a toll on her and her education when she was younger.

She explained: ''I don't know anyone else who grew up the way I did.

''I've travelled to some really incredible places, but my basic math skills are horrendous. It's an interesting trade-off.''

The brunette beauty also struggled to make friends.

She said: ''In high school I had a much easier time interacting with adults than my peers. So that was a weird transition.''

But the actress is very close to her younger sisters, Scout, 23, and Tallulah, 21.

She told PEOPLE magazine: ''My sisters and I have so much love for each other.''
