Rupert Friend Zachary Quinto

Adapted from the hugely popular video game, Hitman: Agent 47 has the dangerous task of maneuvering between mediums – something many videogame to movie transitions have failed to do. But hype is big for Aleksander Bach’s is big, especially now two stills have been released.

The Hitman series follows a genetically-engineered assassin created from the DNA of five of the world's most dangerous criminals. He is known only by the last two digits printed under the iconic barcode on the back of his bald head: 640509-040147.

'Homeland' Season 4 Trailer Shows Carrie Back In The Field But Is The Series Out Of The Woods?

Claire Danes Rupert Friend Mandy Patinkin

Homeland, when it was first on our screen in 2011, became an instant hit. But after its third season, the reviews were becoming more mixed and less reliably in favour of the Showtime series. The nominations and awards followed suit and this year Homeland wasn't even nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the Primetime Emmys.

Jack O'Connell Is 'Starred Up' And Critically Acclaimed

Ben Mendelsohn Rupert Friend Sam Spruell

“Starred Up” is prison slang for a young offender so violent and uncontrollable that he makes the step up to adult prison early. That’s Eric Love – played by Jack O’Connell. Things look bleak for Love; a life behind bars beckons for the psychologically damaged 19-year old. Until, that is, the prison’s therapist becomes determined to rehabilitate him, aided by Neville, Eric’s father.

For U.K cinemagoers, this violent and brilliantly written thriller offers up the best viewing this weekend. Hitting cinemas tonight, ‘Starred Up’s’ main contender is Svengali, another – albeit very stylistically very different - British film.

Homeland Season 3 Episode 6: Still Positive

Claire Danes Mandy Patinkin Rupert Friend Damian Lewis Morena Baccarin

It's taken six episodes but finally Homeland is back on its feet and back to its old ways, sending blistering plot twists, confusing u-turns and stunning revelations our way. Last night's episode in the UK, 'Still Positive,' saw Saul at an all-time low, Javadi's true ways exposed and Carrie turn the tables on her abduction.

Carrie's Role As Double Agent Has Worked Well So Far.

The acting director of the CIA was still reeling after last episode's revelation that the gung-ho Senator Lockhart was in line for the permanent CIA role despite weeks of praise for keeping the organisation steady after the Langley bombing. He also resigned himself to accepting that his wife was still seeing the lover that she met in India. Another man may have stormed out or shouted; Saul had bigger fish to fry as Majid "The Magician" Javadi had captured undercover agent Carrie.

Homeland Season 3, Episode 5: A Yoga Hoax, A Kidnap & A Dead Goose

Claire Danes Mandy Patinkin Morena Baccarin Rupert Friend Damian Lewis

Until last week's final five minutes of CIA drama Homeland, fans of the show were beginning to wonder if the rest of season three would be as improbable and sedate as its beginning episodes. Just for you UK viewers, here's the recap of The Yoga Play.

HomelandSaul and Senator Lockhart in Homeland

We'd been teased by the absence of Brody for the first two episodes only to be hit smack bang in the face with an hour long, heavy handed, Nick-fest in Caracas where we saw the usually conniving Langley bombing suspect resign himself to heroin addiction rather than plot his escape

The Boy In The Striped Pajamas Review

Very Good
In Mark Herman's adaptation of John Boyne's controversial children's bestseller offering a kid's-eye view of Holocaust, the young eight-year-old Bruno (Asa Butterfield) has the wide, blue-eyed innocence of the unprotected. Sheltered and half in a fantasy world, he runs through city streets with his friends, his arms outstretched like wings, gliding untouched through the busy and congested world of adults. Herman bathes these opening scenes in a fantastic fairy-tale burnish, like a golden world ready to be lost.

Bruno shares a family dinner with his loving parents (Vera Farmiga and David Thewlis) and his older sister Gretel (Amber Beattie). With their sparkling British Masterpiece Theatre accents, the family appears as well-scrubbed paragons of British banality. (Even Richard Johnson, that great bastion of British nobility from the epics of the 1960s, is exhumed to appear as the family's Grandpa.) So it comes as a shock when Thewlis dons a German commandant's uniform for a going-away party and Herman quietly reveals that the Dad has been reassigned, taking the family with him. As Dad remarks, "Home is where the family is." In this case, however, home is Auschwitz and Dad is the new camp commandant, who will be supervising the mass exterminations.
