British Actor/comedian Russell Brand's Cell Phone Was Stolen As He Paid A Visit To Slums In India.
The Get Him to the Greek star headed to the country at the end of June (15) to perform his stand-up show for the Comedy Central Chuckles Festival in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore.
During his trip, Brand visited underprivileged residents living in slum accommodation, and his cell phone was stolen from the pocket of his trousers but was later returned by a young child.
Brand describes the incident in a video posted on Instagram.com, saying, "In the mad free-for-all, one of them nicked (stole) my phone, I didn't even notice it happen. Someone explained, 'Oh, your phone's been nicked', then another kid bought (sic) it back. I went to try and give him money and stuff and he looked at me as if it meant nothing, like, the money. That kid was living by a higher code."
